What should we take for our vacation?

Do not forget your Bible. God's word is more important than anything else in this world. Read it when you are at the beach or resting in a bench. Wherever you are, just read God's word. He is right there with you, looking at everyone.

Toothpaste, toothbrush, and mouthwash will clean your mouth, but the words you say to others will bless their life. A hairbrush or comb will make your hair look nice, but it is nicer to think what God can do while you are swimming and resting inside the cottage. Deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner will make you smell nice, but the smell of God's presence in your life will make others turn to Jesus. Sunscreen and lotion will keep away the sun's rays, but God's precious Holy Spirit living in you will keep away sin and evil that surround us.

It is better to see something nice, but it is more better to see Jesus' smiling face in your life.

When I used to take car trips, in the motel rooms there was usually a "Gideons Bible", and after I got settled in the room, I would usually check the drawer beside the nightstand where it usually was. They broke down different sections that apply to different needs you have, etc. I used to look forward to reading it.

Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, read God's word. He wants to speak to you personally and tell you. Do not worry, do not fret. I am with you always. The world and all its problems will pass away but those who believe and trust in God's word shall rest in peace and joy.

There is a whole wide world to see and pray for. Vacation time is to share Jesus with others. Lost souls of the earth are so far away from God, we need to show them the way that leads to heaven.
