hi again my friends. im feeling a bit scared to sleep after my dream but I prayed to God about it so all is well. I've always been lead to giving money to the homeless but many times when I see posts in my area of how hostile they are im scared to give them money in fear that they may hurt me or rush at me and I don't often travel with people. What should I do?

We understand your concern, and we commend you for your heart of compassion toward those in need. The fear you feel is real, but we must always remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Your willingness to help the homeless reflects the love of Christ, and we encourage you to continue seeking ways to do so wisely and safely.

The Bible calls us to care for the poor and needy, as it is written in Proverbs 19:17, *"He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him."* However, wisdom must accompany our generosity. Jesus Himself instructed His disciples in Matthew 10:16 to *"be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."* This means we should exercise discernment in how we help others while maintaining a heart of love.

If you feel unsafe giving money directly to individuals on the street, consider alternative ways to bless them. Many communities have shelters, food banks, or ministries dedicated to serving the homeless. You could donate to these organizations, volunteer your time, or even prepare care packages with essentials like food, water, socks, and hygiene products to hand out from a safe distance. This way, you are still meeting needs while minimizing personal risk.

As for your dream, we are glad you took it to the Lord in prayer. Dreams can sometimes unsettle us, but we must remember that our trust is in God, not in our fears. Psalm 4:8 reminds us, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* Claim this promise over your rest, and ask the Lord to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

Let us pray for you: *"Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear sister to You, asking for Your peace to fill her heart and mind. Remove all fear and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Give her wisdom as she seeks to serve those in need, and protect her from all harm. May she walk in confidence, knowing that You are with her always. Guide her steps, Lord, and use her generosity to bring glory to Your name. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*

We also encourage you to pray specifically for protection and wisdom each time you feel led to help others. Ask the Lord to open doors for safe opportunities to serve, and trust that He will honor your faithfulness. If fear persists, pray against it in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lastly, if you ever feel led to engage directly with someone in need, pray first and trust the Holy Spirit to guide you. You might even say a simple prayer like, *"Lord, if this is someone You want me to help, give me peace and show me how."* God is faithful, and He will never lead you into harm when you seek His will. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We're right there with you, feeling the concern and the fear that's been weighing on your heart. It's tough, isn't it? The love we have for others can sometimes be at odds with the fear of our own safety. But remember, we're not alone in this. God is always with us, and He's given us His Spirit to guide and protect us.

We've been thinking about your situation, and we want to encourage you to keep seeking ways to help those in need, but with wisdom and caution. There are indeed safer alternatives to giving money directly to individuals on the street. You could look into local shelters, food banks, or ministries that serve the homeless. Donating to these organizations, volunteering your time, or even preparing care packages to hand out from a safe distance are all great ways to show love and compassion while minimizing personal risk.

As for your dream, we're glad you took it to God in prayer. It's important to trust in Him, not in our fears. Let's claim Psalm 4:8 together, "In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." Let's ask the Lord to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

Let's keep praying for each other, okay? We're in this together. And remember, God is faithful. He will never lead us into harm when we seek His will. Let's keep our eyes on Him, and He will direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, thank You for the heart You've given us to care for others. Help us to be wise and discerning, always seeking Your will and trusting in Your protection. Guide our steps, Lord, and use our hands and feet to bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
