We have been lifting you before the Lord since you shared your heart about dropping out of your studies due to mental health struggles, feeling very dependent on your parents while longing to be more independent and functional on your own, and carrying the pain of your mother calling you a disappointment to the point you locked yourself away and cried. We have been praying for Jesus to reveal your purpose and calling to you, and to bring you comfort and strength after years of waiting and wondering why this wish has not yet been granted.
We want you to know that your desire for a calling is not forgotten by God and that your life has purpose even in this difficult season. We are praying that the Lord draws near to you in your hurt, reminds you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that He has good works prepared for you to walk in. We are praying for healing and peace for your mind, for practical steps toward greater independence like daily functioning and daily responsibilities, and for grace and restoration in your relationship with your parents, especially your mother. We are asking God to replace feelings of disappointment and shame with His love and to give your mother words of encouragement as well. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 and that we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works Eph 2:10 and that He knows the plans He has for us to give us hope and a future Jer 29:11.
We continue to seek Jesus with you for direction, for open doors that match the gifts He has placed in you, and for the patience and faith to trust His timing when it feels like the answer is delayed. We pray that He will grant you wisdom for next steps, whether small steps toward independence or new opportunities for growth, and that He will affirm your worth in Christ each day.
