Restoration is the will of God and the battle of God. He merely needs you to stand still in the gap and believe. We must always speak the word of God over our marriages, for the word is truth and counters the lies of the enemy, and the word itself says that when we speak His word, it returns to God and does not do so void, but then goes forth and performs that for which He spoke it.How long will God not talk to me, or respond to me, or work on my behalf, or heal, or bless, or anything...How long....???? What is the hold up...???
We hear so many teachings on the battlefield of the mind, that we say will be, and the tongue is a two edged sword and it speaks blessings and curses, so we speak the blessings and promises, the true word of God, over our situations and then so they shall be. That is your key weapon of warfare and one that should never be put down. All the other things, fasting, communion, etc., those are the working out of your faith.
It is through these things, as well as speaking the word of God over our situations, that we grow in faith and trust, into closer relationship with God also. For some, these things become a ritual, they lack heart, drive and power in ritual and gain us nothing. God sees the heart of every man, and it is the heart that moves God, things of the heart, things from the heart. I am saying this because I want to give understanding to the things we do when standing, and every stander must check themselves to be sure they are not just performing rituals, but are doing all things from the heart and with heart in them.
I daily did all things, for seven years I did all things, and then I would come to points when God told me to just rest in Him, that it was His battle, not mine, and I would rest. I never stopped speaking the word daily in prayer, but I rested, I did not do anything else but each day proclaim the word knowing it would not return void. Then God would once again move me to battle hard and I would, but rested and ready to resume.
I am greatly noticing a trend in standers, and it is a trend of not having the peace and joy of the Lord. As we grow in our spirit and with the Lord, our faith and trust strengthens, and when it grows and strengthens enough, we come to a place where we have peace and joy in the Lord, no matter what is coming at us or going on in our lives. We overflow with the peace and joy, and it flows out from us for all to see.
I am noting that there are many standers who have not reached a faith walk of this peace and joy in the Lord. I personally believe that God wants every stander to grow until they reach that place, and until they do, they stay in the place that keeps them on their knees where they can grow and reach that place. We come into this battle because God is doing something in us, molding us into great faith warriors, and it is a process, but I believe that most standers come out the other end totally transformed and stronger then they have ever been in their life, rocks that can face any obstacle and not be shaken from the peace of God.
There are times when I am not joyful, but it has been longer than I can remember that I have not had the peace of God no matter what was happening in my life, like an immunity to affliction. I think Gods purpose is to get all standers to that faith place where they experience the total peace of God no matter what is happening to them. I do not see that peace in those who have come under this same trend that is going on. Everyone wants instant answers, wants God to just swoop down and make things right, that would be awesome, for our flesh anyway, but it would not be awesome for our spirits. Our spirits would miss out on the growth if God did that, and somewhere down the line there would be another fiery dart in our lives that would shake us up again. God instead molds us to where the darts bounce off.
God does not go for short term fixes but long term cures. Because of this, we stay in our affliction until we reach that place. It is not that God does not want to do, is not going to do it for you, that He is letting you suffer, does not hear you, does not see all your works of faith, is not going to answer and send the miracle, He is just watering you so you will grow, and then the day that you get where He needs you to walk out the rest of your life in His peace through all obstacles, He will drop the miracle from Heaven. You will be thankful then for the long walk, because what you gain in the long walk with God is so much greater than a restoration of your marriage, it will pale in comparison.
I also want to remind you that things will get worse before they get better. I have had to say this more than once, but will again repeat for you. The surest sign that you can get that your prayers are being effective and working, is things getting worse in your situation. If Satan was not threatened, he would not keep turning up the heat. The more your prayers push through the spiritual realm, the harder Satan will fight back to stop them, hence things will appear worse in the physical.
All standers need to learn to stop looking at things with their worldly eyes, and begin to look at things through their spiritual eyes and understanding, stop thinking like the world, and start thinking like God, seeing like God. Look past the traumatic event to see God standing right behind it and having it in His hand and control.
When you are punching the enemy, he is going to punch back. If you were not hitting him where it hurts, he would not be going out of his way to hit you. If he is hitting you, then he is fighting back and he is fighting back because he is getting wounded...by your prayers. So every time a stander, which is many times, cries that their efforts are doing no good obviously, because things are getting worse, it is apparent to me that they are looking through the worlds eyes. Getting worse in a good sign in the eyes of the spiritual.
Find the peace of God, crucify your flesh and open your spiritual eyes, and then you will see beyond this physical realm. In all things, look for God, for He is in all things, good and bad, and in the bad He is working for the good, you are just failing to see it.
God bless you...
