What a great God we serve!

I got a verse after prayer that reassured me of his promise to me. "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised (Heb 10:23) As is well known, Job was greatly afflicted by the Devil. He suffered unimaginable physical afflictions, and i feel i can most relate to him I ask that the Lord would bless me with double for my troubles like job and a beautiful wife with financial provision.

Matthew 6:32-33   …32"For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.33"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Seek God, not His gifts. He wants a relationship with you, not just someone who gives things to us. Job was afflicted by the devil, but Job worshiped God and loved God. Job had many possessions and was a rich man because he loved God. But He still loved God when satan destroyed his family and possessions,  and when he was wearing sackcloth and ashes with sores on his body, and had no possessions or family, not even some good friends, and not even a good wife. He loved God because God was worthy of his love and honored God with his love. God was #1 in him life, and the possessions were #2, even unto death.
