'Well Done!' - Luke 19:15-19

[Jesus continued the story about the nobleman,] "After he was crowned king, he returned and called in the servants to whom he had given the money. He wanted to find out what their profits were. The first servant reported, 'Master, I invested your money and made ten times the original amount!' 'Well done!' the king exclaimed. 'You are a good servant. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward.' The next servant reported, 'Master, I invested your money and made five times the original amount.' 'Well done!' the king said. 'You will be governor over five cities.'"

Luke 19:15-19 NLT

Key Thought

"Well done! ... You are a good servant." Such sweet words are these to hear! God longs to give us his blessing and praise. He showed us this desire at his Son's baptism when he said, "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased." (Mark 1:11 NIV) God does not forget our works done to honor him, and he always notices the effort made in our stewardship. So know that even if no one else takes note of your efforts to honor God, you can be assured that he sees them and is blessed.

Today's Prayer

Father, may all I do bring you joy, honor, and praise. Thank you for reassuring me that my efforts to honor you are not in vain. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
