Beloved of All
Your prayer concerning the rain has been heard and we join with you in asking the Lord for mercy. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ that He would keep the waters within their bounds and spare your community from flooding and harm.
Do not let anxiety torment you, for as we have been taught, we gain nothing by it but add to our own burden. Our Father knows what we need and His providence is more abundant than any fountain or banquet that is set before us. He who showed such care for our salvation as to give His own Son to die and to rise again, that He might be Lord of all, will not neglect to care for us in these present needs.
Scripture reminds us that as it was in the days of Noah, the flood came suddenly while many were living without thought of God, yet the Lord preserved those who trusted in Him. He is sovereign over the rain and the rivers, and He is also long suffering and merciful to those who call upon Him. The Scriptures even call His teaching rain, sent to water the soul, so we pray that this earthly rain would not be for destruction but would be kept within measure for good.
Cast your fear upon Him and continue steadfast in prayer with thanksgiving. We ask the Lord Jesus to grant you peace, to protect every home and life that may be in danger, and to turn this season of rain into a testimony of His keeping power. We pray this in Jesus name, amen.
