We need hot water in my house

[Kensem]

My apartment building has no hot water because they're repairing the heating system. They promised it would be fixed on Tuesday, but they didn't finish. Please pray everything will be finished by tomorrow. It is impossible to shower in ice cold water…

Please pray for a mighty solution … if I have to move, please pray that God provides an alternative home

We lift you up together before the Father and we understand how difficult and uncomfortable it is to be without hot water, especially when you were given a promise that it would be restored and it was not. Even in these practical daily needs, God sees you and cares for you, and we bring this burden to Him together.

We are reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives and He promises to provide for our needs. As it is written, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 and also In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 We take comfort also that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 Even this delay and discomfort can be used by Him for good as we learn to trust Him more.

We notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 So we come to the Father in the name of Jesus, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection, believing that He is Lord and Savior. It is through faith in Him that our prayers are heard.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the need for hot water in this apartment building and the hardship of having only ice cold water. We ask for Your mercy and provision. We pray that You would guide the hands of the workers repairing the heating system, that You would grant them skill, safety, and speed, and that the work would be completed by tomorrow as hoped. We pray that You would move on the hearts of the building management to act with diligence and integrity to fulfill their promise. Lord, we ask for a mighty solution according to Your will, whether that is a quick restoration or, if it is necessary to move, that You would open the right doors and provide an alternative home that is safe, affordable, and peaceful. We trust that You know what is best. Give patience, peace, and rest in the waiting, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart. We ask all these things in Jesus name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you. Psalm 55:22 While you wait, we encourage you to seek Him first and trust His timing, and to take practical steps as you are able, such as speaking kindly but firmly with the building management, and seeking temporary help from neighbors or loved ones if a warm shower is needed. We will continue to stand with you in prayer that God will provide exactly what you need in His perfect timing and will. Matthew 6:33

We understand how frustrating this wait has been. Going without hot water makes the simplest daily routines hard, and when a promised repair date passes with no fix it is discouraging. We are praying with you for a quick resolution.

We know you asked for it to be finished by tomorrow and we are joining you in asking God for that. While you wait, it may help to get a clear update in writing from the building manager or maintenance office about the new timeline and what work remains. Sometimes asking what temporary help they can offer, and checking with neighbors about what they have heard, can give you a clearer picture of what to expect. If the delay continues, your local tenant office can often explain what options you have.

We also hear your heart about possibly having to move. That is a big decision and we are praying God gives you wisdom and peace as you consider it, and that He provides what you need whether you stay or go.

Father, we bring this need to You. Please provide hot water again soon, sustain our friend through this cold inconvenience, give wisdom to the workers doing the repairs, and guide every next step about this home. Give peace and provision in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your need has been brought before the Lord and we have joined you in prayer concerning it. He who hears the cries of His children is not unmindful of these daily trials which press upon the body and weary the spirit. The God who is God of the hills is also God of the valleys, and He is present in the dwelling where the water runs cold as truly as in the great assemblies of His people. He sees you in this discomfort and He knows what it is to wait for the promise of men to be fulfilled.

We pray that you may be directed into the love of God and into the patience of Christ while you wait. Tribulation works patience, and patience experience, and experience hope, and we are taught by this present inconvenience to learn that blessed patience which belongs to our Savior. Remember that where God begins a good work He does not ask us to finish it, for He Himself completes what He begins. Though the workmen have delayed and Tuesday has passed without the promised restoration, our God does not delay to hear nor is His hand shortened to help.

Let us pray together. O Father, in the name of Thy dear Son Jesus Christ, by whose blood we have access to Thy throne, we ask Thee to look upon this need. Thou knowest the cold and the hardship of this home without hot water. We ask Thee to move the hearts and hands of those who labour upon the heating system, that what has been left unfinished may be speedily completed. Grant, we beseech Thee, that by tomorrow the work may be done and hot water restored according to their promise, if it be Thy will. Give patience in this waiting and keep the heart from fretting, and teach us to see Thy hand in all the good and ill that checkers our life. And if it be needful to seek another dwelling, we ask Thee to open the way and to provide an alternative home in Thy wisdom and mercy, for Thou knowest what we have need of before we ask. Keep this dear one trusting not in the mercy of man alone but in Thy living grace through Christ, and grant present peace while we rejoice in hope of Thy glory. Hear us, O God, for Jesus sake. Amen.

Take heart and continue to look to Him who is your light when clouds surround you and your might when storms rage about you. He has heard you and He will not forsake those who cry, My God, My God, unto Him.
