We need hot and clean water in my house

[Kensem]

Please pray that we get hot water back in my house soon. We have been without it for about two weeks due to repairs.

Thank God we had lukewarm water today… Please pray in Jesus' name; it gets warmer. I am still cold after showering

The water is unclean. There are black particles in the hot water coming from the bath tap.

I also have a mild flu

We join you in thanking God with you for the improvement to lukewarm water after two weeks without hot water, and we join you in asking Him for fully hot and clean water very soon. We know how difficult it is to be cold after showering and to see black particles coming from the bath tap, and we bring these daily needs before our Father who cares about every detail of our lives. We are grateful you asked us to pray in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have access to God and it is in His name we are heard.

We are reminded that every good gift is from above, as James 1:17 tells us, and that we are to give thanks in all circumstances as 1 Thessalonians 5:18 teaches. Your thankfulness even for lukewarm water honors Him. Jesus also reminds us not to be anxious about these daily provisions, saying in Matthew 6:31-33 not to worry about what we will need but to seek first God's Kingdom, and all these things will be given to us. And we claim the promise that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:19 says.

We also lift up your mild flu to the Lord who is our healer. We are told in Psalm 103:2-3 to bless the Lord who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases, and in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. We take comfort that when we are weak or cold or unwell, He is our strength, for Isaiah 41:10 says do not be afraid, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together now. Father, we come before You in Jesus' name and thank You for Your mercy in providing lukewarm water after so long without. We ask in Jesus' name that You would fully restore hot water to this home soon, that the repairs would be completed quickly and correctly, and that the water would run clean and clear without black particles or anything unclean. Protect this household from any harm from the unclean water and grant wisdom and diligence to those doing the repairs and to those responsible for the building. Lord, warm this home and warm the body of Your child who is still cold after showering, and provide comfort and health. We also ask You to touch and heal this mild flu, to restore strength and ease any discomfort, and to guard against anything more serious. Give peace and patience during this waiting time, and help all needs to be supplied according to Your perfect will. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him while also taking practical steps as you are able. Keep in contact with those responsible for the repairs and let them know the hot water is still only lukewarm and that there are black particles in the bath tap, as that may indicate sediment from the water heater or pipes that needs flushing. Until the water runs clear, we encourage you to let the hot tap run for a time, to avoid ingesting it, and to consider filtering or boiling if there is any doubt about cleanliness. Keep warm after showering as best you can, and care for your flu with rest, fluids, and warmth, seeking medical care if it worsens or does not improve. We continue to pray with you that the water will be hot and clean again very soon and that you will be fully well and warm, for Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us in nothing to be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We are so glad you wrote again and shared that you had lukewarm water today. After two weeks without hot water we can imagine how discouraging it has been to still feel cold after showering, and even more with black particles in the bath tap and a mild flu on top of it. Thank you for letting us pray with you in the middle of these day to day strains.

It is understandable to feel worn down when basic things at home are not working. We are praying with you for the repairs to be finished soon and for the water to run hot and clear again.

Since the hot water still has particles and you are feeling unwell, we would encourage you to let your landlord or the repair team know right away about what you are seeing from the tap and ask them whether it is safe to use until they can check it. If your flu symptoms linger or get worse, please also reach out to a local clinic or doctor for care alongside prayer.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this home before You. We thank You for the lukewarm water today and ask for full restoration of hot, clean water soon. Please give wisdom to those doing the repairs and protect this household from harm. Comfort and strengthen our friend as they recover from this flu, and give peace and warmth in the days ahead. Amen.

We have heard your request and have carried it before the Lord with a tender concern for your household. To be without hot water for two weeks tries the frame, and to come from the bath still cold and then to see the water unclean with black particles is a trial which the Lord sees. We thank God with you that He has already shown mercy in giving lukewarm water, and we join you in asking that it may become warmer and fully clean for your daily needs.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and our gracious Father who knows our frame cares for these comforts of home. We have prayed that the Lord would prosper the repairs, give skill to the hands that work upon them, and restore to you hot and clean water speedily. We have asked that the source of the uncleanness may be found and cleansed, so that what flows from the tap may be pure and wholesome, and that you may be kept from any harm through it.

We have also brought before the Great Physician your mild flu and the chill that lingers after showering. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, whose very leaves are for healing, and who is risen as the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings. As He has said, the water that He gives shall be in a man a well of water springing up unto everlasting life, and that water stays and changes the life blood. We pray that He would lay His hand upon you and lift you up, that your body may be strengthened and your cold relieved.

We are reminded as we pray that Scripture speaks of the clean and the unclean, and that no outward washing can make the heart clean. The beast that was clean did chew the cud and had a divided hoof, showing an inward life and an outward walk agreeable to God. So we are made truly clean only when washed in the blood of Jesus, without spot or wrinkle, and made to inwardly digest His Word. Apart from Him no cistern of earth can hold living water, but whoever will may take the water of life freely. Come unto Him, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and when the Lord dwells with His people they have no need to say, I am sick, for pardon and healing are one in Christ.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank You for every mercy already shown in this home, even for lukewarm water in a season of want. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation, that You would restore hot water fully and make the water clean and pure, removing that which defiles it. Grant wisdom to those who repair and keep this household in health. Lay Your healing hand upon this Your child who suffers cold and a mild flu, and raise up the body in comfort and strength. Wash the heart also with sacred water from the side of Jesus, and spread over every wound the ointment of forgiving grace, that soul and body may know Your restoring power. We ask this trusting not in ceremonies or broken cisterns, but in the living Christ who went about doing good and who still heals. Hear us for His sake. Amen.

We will continue to remember you, and we trust you will see the Lord's kind hand in this provision.
