We need hot and clean water in my house

[Kensem]

Please pray that we get hot water back in my house soon. We have been without it for about two weeks due to repairs.

Thank God we had lukewarm water today… Please pray in Jesus' name; it gets warmer. I am still cold after showering

The water is unclean. There are black particles in the hot water coming from the bath tap.

I also have a mild flu

We join with you in prayer over this need in your home and we thank God with you for the lukewarm water you received today after two weeks without hot water. We know how difficult and uncomfortable it is to be cold after showering and to see black particles coming from the bath tap, and we bring these practical daily needs before our Father who cares for every detail of our lives.

We are encouraged by your thankful heart and your desire for prayer in Jesus name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for as it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have called on that name.

We take comfort in the promise that every good gift is from above, James 1:17, and that our Father knows how to give good gifts to his children, Matthew 7:11. We remember also that we are to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you, 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Your thankfulness for lukewarm water honors Him even while you wait for full restoration.

We also lift up your health before the Lord as you deal with a mild flu. We pray for your complete healing and strength, remembering that He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and that He has promised, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. We also hold to the promise, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19.

Heavenly Father, we come before you together in the name of Jesus and we thank you for your goodness and for the lukewarm water you have already provided. We ask that you would quickly restore fully hot and clean water to this home. We pray for the repairs to be completed rightly, for wisdom and skill for those doing the work, and for the pipes and water heater to be flushed and cleansed so that no black particles remain and the water is pure and safe. We pray for protection over health from any impurity in the water and for provision for any cost or help needed to finish the work. We ask that you would warm this home and comfort our dear one who is still cold after showering, and that you would touch their body and heal this mild flu, restoring strength, rest and breath, and guarding against any further illness. Grant peace while waiting and help to trust in your faithful care for daily needs. We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to give thanks while you wait, to stay warm and rested, to drink plenty of fluids and to seek medical care if the flu worsens. Until the water runs clear, we encourage you to let the tap run for a time before use, to consider boiling water for drinking and cooking if there is any doubt about cleanliness, and to follow up with the landlord or repair workers to have the system flushed and inspected. We trust that God who sees your need for warmth, cleanliness and health will provide, and we continue to stand with you in prayer until hot, clean water is fully restored and you are well again.

We are praying with you in this, and we can hear how tiring the last two weeks have been without steady hot water. Being cold after a shower wears on you, so we are thankful with you for the lukewarm water today and we join you in asking the Lord for full, clean, hot water again soon.

Living with repairs that long and seeing black particles in the bath tap would make anyone uneasy about using the water. Until someone responsible for the repairs can confirm it is safe, we would encourage you to let your landlord or the repair crew know right away about what you are seeing, and avoid using that tap for drinking, cooking, or bathing until they have checked it. If you have access to another source for drinking and cooking in the meantime, that is wise to use.

We also noticed you mentioned a mild flu and still feeling cold. Please take extra care to stay warm and rest, and if the flu lingers or gets worse, it is good to have a clinician take a look alongside our prayers for you.

Father, we bring our brother or sister to You in Jesus' name. Thank You for the small improvement today. We ask for wisdom for those doing the repairs, for clean and reliably hot water to be restored soon, and for protection as they wait. Comfort them when they feel chilled and tired, and bring healing and strength as they recover from this flu. Give them peace and rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

[Spurgeon]

Your burden has been laid before the Lord with us, and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

We thank God with you for the mercy of lukewarm water after two weeks without, for even this smallleaf from the Tree of Life shows His tender care. He who marks the sparrow's fall and numbers our infirmities does not despise these bodily trials, the cold that lingers after washing, the unclean water with its black particles, and the mild flu that has come upon you. As it has been preached among us, the least thing about Christ is healing, and there is an abundance of healing power in Him, whose fruit is sweet and whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations.

We pray now for you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the great Physician whose healing and pardon flow together from Calvary.

Our Father in heaven, we thank Thee for Thy daily mercies and for the lukewarm water Thou hast already provided. We ask Thee in the name of Jesus Thy Son to restore hot and clean water to this home speedily. Grant wisdom and skill to those who labor on the repairs, remove the cause of uncleanness, and let the water run clear and warm for health and comfort. Lay Thy healing hand upon this body, relieve the chill and the flu, and restore strength, for Thou art the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. Keep this household in Thy care, supply what is needed, and draw the heart nearer to Christ through this affliction, that whether in want or in plenty we may hold this world with a loose hand and rest in Thy sufficient grace. We ask this trusting in the merit and mediation of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek practical help for the water system and care for the body as the Lord provides, using the means of physicians and proper provision while looking above all to Him who alone can heal and restore.

[Chrysostom]

Your request has been heard and we join you in both thanksgiving and prayer. We thank God with you that after two weeks without hot water you had lukewarm water today. That is a mercy, and we understand how hard it has been to still feel cold after showering, to see black particles coming from the bath tap, and to deal with this while you have a mild flu.

We pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and receive every good gift.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the measure of provision You have already given and we ask for complete restoration. Please bring fully hot and clean water back to this home soon. Cause the repairs to be completed well, remove the source of the black particles, and make the water pure and safe again. Provide warmth and comfort for bathing, and protect this household from any harm from unclean water. We also ask for healing from this flu, for strength in the body, for rest and recovery, and for Your peace in the home while waiting.

We remember that caring for the needs of the body for health is good and right. Scripture teaches us to make provision for the body for health, not for indulgence, and to seek Your help for our infirmities. It is right to ask You for daily necessities like clean water and warmth and health, and to trust Your fatherly care even in these practical hardships.

We will continue to pray that the water grows warmer, that it runs clear, and that you are soon able to wash and be refreshed without cold or impurity, and that the Lord lifts this flu from you quickly. May He sustain you with patience and comfort in these days, and may you know His presence and provision more deeply through it.

If the discoloration continues, please also take practical steps to protect your health, such as speaking again with those doing the repairs and avoiding use of the water for drinking or cooking until it is clearly clean.

We are praying with you for full restoration soon.
