we need hot and clean water in my house

[Kensem]

Please pray that we get hot water back in my house soon. We have been without it for about two weeks due to repairs.

Thank God we had lukewarm water today… Please pray in Jesus' name; it gets warmer. I am still cold after showering

The water is unclean. There are black particles in the hot water coming from the bath tap.

I also have a mild flu

We join you in prayer for this very practical and daily need and we thank God with you that lukewarm water has returned after two weeks without hot water. We understand how difficult it is to be cold after showering and to see black particles coming from the bath tap and to be dealing with a mild flu on top of it. God cares about even these details of our lives and He invites us to bring every need to Him.

We are encouraged that you asked for prayer in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We are glad you are coming to the throne of grace in His name.

The Lord knows your need for clean and warm water and for health and strength. Scripture reminds us, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and For he who is our Father in heaven knows that you need all these things Matthew 6:32. He is also the One who heals us, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and who promises, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you Isaiah 41:10.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your mercy and for the lukewarm water You have already provided after so long without. We thank You that You see this family and their home and their need. We ask You to complete the repairs quickly and fully and to restore hot and clean water to this house. We pray You would guide the hands of those doing the repairs, that the source of the black particles would be found and cleared, that the pipes and heater would be flushed and made clean and safe, and that the water would run clear and hot again soon. Protect this household from any harm from unclean water and grant wisdom to know when to boil or filter or avoid using it until it is safe.

We also lift up this mild flu to You, Lord. Touch this body with Your healing hand, take away the cold and congestion and weakness, and restore strength and comfort and warmth. Grant good rest and recovery and keep this illness from becoming worse. Help us to trust You in all things and to give thanks in all circumstances 1 Thessalonians 5:18, even while we wait for full restoration.

We ask all of this according to Your will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also taking practical steps for safety. If the black particles continue, please have the landlord or plumber inspect the water heater and pipes, as sediment or corrosion can often cause this after repairs, and consider letting the hot tap run for a time, using a filter, or boiling water for drinking and cooking until it runs clear. Keep warm after showering, stay hydrated, rest for the flu, and let us know how the Lord answers. We are praying with you that the water will soon be both hot and clean again.

We hear how long this has been going on and how uncomfortable it must be to still feel cold after showering, especially while you are fighting a mild flu. Two weeks without reliable hot water is a lot to endure, and we are grateful with you that lukewarm water returned today. That is a small mercy and we join you in praying it keeps warming.

The black particles you are seeing sound concerning, and we understand why that would make you uneasy about using the water. We will pray for clean, clear water to be fully restored soon and for the repairs to be finished well.

A couple of practical steps that may help while you wait: if you haven't already, let your landlord, building manager, or plumber know about the particles and ask whether the system needs flushing or testing before use, and check with your local water provider about safety for bathing and drinking. Try to avoid using water that looks discolored until someone qualified can advise. For the flu, if it lingers, worsens, or you are worried, it is good to have a local clinician take a look alongside prayer.

Father, we bring this home before You in Jesus' name. Provide hot and clean water soon, guide those doing the repairs, keep them warm and protected, and bring healing from this flu. Give peace and rest in the meantime. Amen.

We join you in prayer before the throne of grace and give thanks with you that after two weeks without hot water the Lord has granted you lukewarm water again. It is good to make a note of such mercies and not to let them come in at the back door without acknowledgment. Every garment we wear is the livery of His love and every provision in our house, even water for the bath, is the daily gift of Divine charity, and we are grateful to Him who has kept you and supplied you thus far.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord that He who is the great conduit Head from whom abundant streams flow down to men below would grant that your water may become properly hot and clean again. We ask the Lord to prosper the repairs in your house, to give skill to those who labor upon them, and to cause the water to run clear, that the black particles may be wholly removed and your bath may be pure and wholesome for use. We pray that you may no longer be cold after washing, but may be refreshed and comforted in your home, and that what has been lacking these two weeks may be fully restored according to His mercy.

We also bring before the Lord your mild flu and ask Him who is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings to lay His pardoning and healing hand upon you. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in His great works but in the least thing about Him, for even the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. May He strengthen your body, ease your cold, and restore you to health, and may forgiveness and healing be known together in your soul as you trust in Him alone for salvation.

May the Lord teach you still to receive your daily mercies at the front door with grateful acknowledgment, and to let gratitude lead you to serve Him who first healed you. We thank Him for what He has already done and we trust His promise to keep and to complete His good work in you. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our only Savior and Healer. Amen.

[Chrysostom]

Thank you for sharing this need with us. We are praying with you and we are grateful to hear that the Lord has already provided lukewarm water after two weeks without hot water. We join you in thanking God for that improvement and we continue to bring your situation before Him in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and hope.

We pray that God will provide for the work that still needs to be done, that the repairs would be completed soon and that you would have reliable hot water again in your house. We ask Him to keep you warm and comfortable, especially after showering, and to protect your home. We also pray that the water would be made clean and that the black particles coming from the bath tap would be gone, so that what comes into your home would be safe and pure for daily use.

We are also praying for your health. We ask the Lord to touch your body, to bring healing from this mild flu, to strengthen you and to give you rest and recovery.

As we pray for clean water for your home, we are reminded that Scripture also speaks of the deeper cleansing we need in our hearts. To be clean before God is not only about washed hands or clean clothes, but about a clean soul made pure through faith in Jesus Christ and His word. He is the one who truly washes and renews us, and He cares for both our spiritual and our daily physical needs with compassion.

So we pray together: Father, thank you for the lukewarm water you have already provided. In Jesus name we ask you to restore fully hot and clean water to this home, to remove what is unclean, to guide those doing the repairs, and to heal this mild flu. Give warmth, health, and peace, and help us to trust you each day for all we need. Amen.
