We have 2 extremes. We have fearful Christians who can't stop worrying about, and "hyping up" how "formidable" coronavirus is. They quote every word the media tells them like a parrot, but not every word the Bible tells them. Then on the other hand we have the snake handling churches who, the pastor dances around to the Gospel music with a poisonous snake in each hand. {"These shall pick up serpents, and they shall do them no harm"}. 2 extremes, the "fearful Christians" and the snake handlers. One may say the snake handlers are "tempting God," but between the 2 of them, I have more respect for the snake handlers. At least they've overcome fear. Which is more than I can say about these hypochondriacs who place more faith in the media than the Bible, and cower before some virus.

Faith and Love are two of the fruits of the spirits. Faith opens the door to Love. One cannot experience the fullness of Love without faith. Many are ready to ask for prayers of protection over the vaccine that they are about to take and yes we should all pray for them. But why couldn't the person have enough faith in God in the first place and maybe ask us to pray for their protection against the virus itself. It tends to bring confusion about the power of God. Are the vaccines more promising than God's Loving words?

The LORD said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live."

Symbolically snakes represented evil or it represented healing. In the above verse the snake represented healing. It is clearly an allegorical verse to Jesus. When danger strikes keep your eyes on Jesus. Think about it, a deadly asp has just bitten a person and that individual is instructed to keep his eyes on the healing asp that was mounted on a pole.

I will keep my eye on Jesus and I will pray for all those who ask. None will be refused.

But the prayer should just as much be overcoming the fear of the virus as protection from it as I think they're overwhelmed by fear.
