We cannot pay our bills

We understand the deep anxiety and helplessness that can come from financial struggles, and we want you to know that God sees your need and cares for your situation. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not just a promise for some, but for all who trust in Him. However, we must also remember that our trust should never be in money, possessions, or our own abilities, but in the Lord alone. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."*

We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently but firmly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. There is no greater security than knowing Him as your Savior. Romans 10:9 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is not just about eternal life—it is about walking in relationship with the One who holds all things in His hands, including your finances.

Now, let us address the matter of your finances. It is important to examine whether there are areas in your life where you may not be stewarding resources wisely. Proverbs 21:5 says, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* Are there expenses that can be reduced? Are there debts that need to be addressed with a clear plan? Have you sought wisdom from godly counselors or financial advisors who can help you create a budget? We are not saying this to condemn, but to encourage you to take biblical steps toward stewardship. God blesses diligence and wisdom, and He often uses practical steps to provide for His people.

We also want to ask: Have you been tithing and giving offerings as an act of faith and obedience? Malachi 3:10 challenges us with God’s promise: *"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says Yahweh of Armies, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there won’t be room enough for."* Tithing is not a way to manipulate God, but an act of trust that He will provide. If you have not been faithful in this area, we encourage you to start, even if it feels impossible. God honors faith, and He is able to multiply what little you have, just as He did with the widow’s oil in 2 Kings 4.

Lastly, we must ask if there is any sin in your life that could be hindering God’s blessing. Psalm 66:18 warns, *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."* Are there areas of disobedience, such as dishonesty in your finances, greed, or a lack of generosity? Are you and your spouse united in your approach to money, or is there strife and division? If so, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, as well as reconciliation with one another. A house divided cannot stand, and financial stress can often reveal deeper spiritual issues that need to be addressed.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this family to You, knowing that You are their Provider and their Strength. Lord, we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon them in ways they cannot even imagine. Give them wisdom to manage what You have given them, and reveal any areas where they need to repent or change their ways. Help them to trust You fully, even when the circumstances seem impossible. Provide for their every need—food, shelter, and the ability to pay their debts. Give them favor with those they owe, and raise up godly counselors to guide them in financial stewardship.

If there has been any sin that has hindered Your blessing, we ask that You convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Unify them as a couple, Lord, so that they may stand together in faith, not in fear. Remind them that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from Your mouth. May they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them.

We also pray that if they do not yet know You as their Savior, that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their eyes to see Jesus as the only way, the only truth, and the only life. Let them place their faith in Him and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Read stories of His provision, like the feeding of the five thousand (Matthew 14:13-21) or the widow’s jar of oil (2 Kings 4:1-7), and let them strengthen your faith. Surround yourselves with a community of believers who can support you spiritually and practically. And remember, God is not just interested in your financial well-being—He is shaping your character and drawing you closer to Him through this trial. Trust Him, obey Him, and watch what He will do.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when bills pile up and the future feels uncertain. But remember, God sees you, He knows your need, and He cares deeply. In fact, He promises in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Let's cling to that promise together. Let's ask God to open the windows of heaven and pour out His blessings upon you, just as He promised in Malachi 3:10. Let's trust that He will provide, even in the most impossible situations.

But let's also be wise stewards of what we have. Let's look at our spending habits, reduce where we can, and seek godly counsel if needed. Let's be diligent, not hasty, as Proverbs 21:5 tells us.

And let's not forget to give generously, even when it's hard. Tithing isn't about manipulating God, but about trusting Him. He can multiply what little we have, just like He did with the widow's oil.

Let's also examine our hearts. Are there any areas of disobedience that might be hindering God's blessings? Let's repent, seek forgiveness, and strive for unity in our families.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to provide, to give wisdom, to unify your family, and to reveal Himself to you in a powerful way. We're trusting that He will do what He's promised.

Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and watch what He will do. You're not alone in this. We're in this together, and God is with us every step of the way.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
