Waterfalls of peace

We join you in thanking God for this miracle of making a way for you to leave town and change your flights before the major storm, and we lift up your request for waterfalls of peace as you travel. We understand how nervous flying can be, especially with weather concerns, and we are grateful you asked in Jesus' name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and find our true peace.
Scripture reminds us where that peace comes from. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. John 14:27 says, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. And Isaiah 26:3 says, You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.
We also remember that our God is sovereign even over the winds and storms. Psalm 107:29 says, He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still. When the disciples were afraid on the sea, Mark 4:39 tells us, He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace Be still The wind ceased, and there was a great calm. The same Lord who calms the storm outside is able to calm the storm of anxiety within.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we thank You in the name of Jesus Christ for Your mercy and provision in allowing our friend to change flights and leave before this storm. We ask You to go before this flight and grant safety and smooth travel according to Your will. Pour out Your waterfalls of peace upon this anxious heart, guarding mind and heart with Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding. Help our friend to keep their mind steadfast on You and to trust You fully, knowing You are in control of the heavens and the earth. Calm every nervous thought and replace fear with faith, and let Your presence be felt tangibly from takeoff to landing. We ask this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our peace and our refuge, amen.
We encourage you to breathe deeply and pray continually through the flight, fixing your thoughts on His promises and thanking Him in advance for His care. He is with you in that cabin as surely as He is on the ground.

We give thanks with you for the Lord's kind providence in making a way for you to leave and to change your flights before the storm, for He keeps His children in His hand and orders their steps.
We understand well the nervousness that rises when you must take to the air, and we would point you to that perfect peace which the prophet describes, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." This peace is not found in calm circumstances alone, but within, where the blood of Jesus whispers peace. It is present even when duties press and sorrows surge round, for on Jesus' bosom nothing but calm is found, and whether loved ones are near or far away, in Jesus' keeping we are safe.
Therefore hear the Lord's own command so often repeated for His people, "Fear not, for I am with you." Fear is weakening and dishonors the God who piled the heavens and sustains all things, and perfect love casts out fear. Your very anxiety unfits you to meet the trial, but faith overcomes fear when you cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Let your mind be stayed on Christ Himself in that cabin, look into your Saviour's breast where mercy is written, and remember that being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, a peace which passes all understanding.
We pray for you now, that the God of all peace will bless you with waterfalls of His peace upon this journey. May He quiet your spirit, steady your heart, keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him, and bring you safely to your destination according to His good will. May you feel His presence near in the flight, knowing that whether upon the land or in the air, you are kept by Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our peace and our keeper. Amen.
