Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong

Brothers and sister, I feel like sharing the following:

The last weeks I have searched the Lord intensely for guidance concerning my job/income situation. Several words have come to me...

1) Matthew 6: 31 Do not worry

2) the story of Peter walking on the water to Jesus and then sinking in the water and Jesus saying: Do not doubt

3) a sister telling me the story of the pilot who brings down successfully a defect plane in total control and calmness, which is only possible by trusting fully the Lord

4) an image of an almond blossom, which symbolizes a.o. that He is faithful to perform His Word

5) a sister here receiving the word from the Lord for me: that his timing will be perfect

6) this morning I received twice the same word through Holy Spirit in the bible: "Watch" and a second time again "Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong" 1Cor16:13

As I am totally sure it is the Lord speaking I am reflecting on the word "watch" this morning and have some idea of what it means for me. But if any of you could give me some ideas of what it means for you, I think it might enrich my experience... thanking you beforehand... Any continued prayer is welcome.

Lord, I praise and thank You for who You are and I ask Holy Spirit's to help me to watch and stand fast in the faith and be brave and strong until I see fulfilled what You have ordained for my life concerning this matter. In Jesus Name. Amen

Watch, I think might mean to keep a close eye on the subject matter, wait patiently & faithfully. Sometimes for example, we can't see God's blessings in our life because we haven't stepped away & watched the situation from afar, from a bird's eye-view perhaps. But, when we step back & watch for a moment, we see the big picture & it allows us to understand that blessings are indeed unfolding on his time. I'm not sure... I could be wrong. That's just kind of the way I thought of it.

Angeline - I have always felt that when God has been leading me to be watchful, it was because I had narrowed my view. Many times, knowing how I wanted my prayer to be answered has kept me from "seeing" how it was really being answered. God does not act within the limitations we have placed on Him. He is limitless, merciful and always on time. I pray that every part of you is in a heightened sense to receive the blessings which He is bestowing. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
