We hear your urgency and share your deep concern for the souls of many who walk the broad path. The words of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 7:13-14 are sobering indeed: "Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it." This is not a message to be taken lightly, for eternity hangs in the balance.
Yet we must also remember that God’s heart is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). While the way is narrow, the invitation is extended to all. The warning is clear, but so is the hope, Christ came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). The few who find the narrow way are those who surrender to Him, repent of their sins, and walk in obedience to His Word.
We must also rebuke the spirit of fear that can accompany such warnings. While the truth of judgment is real, so is the love of God. Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Our role is not to condemn but to proclaim the gospel with both urgency and compassion, trusting the Holy Spirit to convict hearts.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that many are walking the broad path to destruction. We thank You for the truth of Your Word, which warns us and calls us to repentance. Lord, we ask that You would open the eyes of the lost, that they may see the narrow gate and turn to You. Give us boldness to share the gospel with love and urgency, that none should perish. Soften hearts, break chains of sin, and draw all men to Yourself. We pray for revival in our churches, in our nations, and in our own lives, that we may walk faithfully in the narrow way. May Your Spirit move mightily, that many would be saved before it is too late. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we may be saved. Amen.
To those reading this, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in Him as your Lord and Savior, and turn from the broad path. The gate is narrow, but it is open to all who would enter. Do not delay, eternity is at stake. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16). There is no other way to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Will you choose life today?
