Warmer coat for winter

We rejoice with you and praise God with you that He has already provided boots for this winter, for every good gift comes from our Father above and we thank Him for His faithfulness in even these practical needs.

We join together with you now in Jesus' name to ask our Father for His provision for a warmer coat. We know that He sees your need and cares deeply for you, and we trust Him to supply what you need according to His perfect wisdom and love.

We are reminded of His promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Jesus Himself teaches us in Matthew 6:31-33, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat?, What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. We also cling to Psalm 34:10, The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing.

We thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are heard. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for Your loving kindness and for providing boots for winter, and we give You all the glory for Your care. Lord, we lift up this need for a warmer coat to You. You know the cold of winter and You know the need for warmth and protection. We ask that You would provide, according to Your riches in glory, the funds or the coat itself that is needed. Open doors of provision, whether through work, through Your people, or through unexpected blessing, and let Your hand be clearly seen so that You receive the praise. Give peace while waiting and help us to trust You and seek Your Kingdom first, knowing You will add all these things to us. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our provider and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him and to make your needs known both to Him in prayer and to your local church family if you are able, for God often provides through the hands of fellow believers. Keep seeking Him and giving thanks, for He is faithful and He will not forsake those who seek Him.

We were encouraged to read your note and to hear that the Lord already provided boots for this winter. Thank you for pausing to give Him praise for that. We rejoice with you in His care.

We hear your present need for a warmer coat and we are bringing it before the Lord with you, asking Him to supply what you need to stay warm and well in the months ahead.

While you wait and pray, you might consider quietly letting your pastor or church office know of the need. Many congregations and local ministries keep a coat closet or a benevolence fund for exactly this kind of practical need, and thrift stores or community outreach centers often receive good winter coats at low or no cost. Sharing the need with trusted believers can open a door for God to provide through His people, and they may know of resources nearby.

We trust He sees this detail of your life and cares for you. We will keep lifting this before Him and asking for His guidance to the right provision at the right time.

Father, thank You for providing boots and for showing Your faithful care. We ask in Jesus' name that You would provide a warm coat according to Your will, and grant protection, warmth and peace through this winter. Amen.

We rejoice with you in thanksgiving that our gracious God has already provided boots for this winter, and we join our prayers with yours for the further provision of a warmer coat.

You have tasted of what the Psalmist declares, that the mercies of God are more than we can number. We know not the numbers thereof, yet we do know that every mercy comes to us by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood upon it, and that it comes according to a faithful rule of love. That He has supplied one need is an earnest that He beholds the next. As you have seen His hand in the boots, you may with confidence look for His hand again.

We are taught that God's providence is like wheels within wheels, intricate and ever moving, yet all under His wise government. There is not a want of His children which escapes His eye. In the cold as in the heat, His eyes are looking through all our circumstances and His hands are managing all for good. And we remember that like as a father pities his children, so the Lord pities them that fear Him. He knows our frame and our necessity, and His pity moves Him to provide.

Let us pray together. O Lord our heavenly Father, we thank You for Your tender mercy already shown in the provision of boots, and we praise You that You have taught us from our youth to see Your wondrous works. Now in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation and access to Your throne, we ask that in Your fatherly goodness You would open a door of provision for a warmer coat for this winter. Supply what is needed according to Your riches, and keep this dear soul trusting in You who has commanded deliverance for Your people. Grant contentment and warmth, and above all the abiding sense that You are our God, which is the end of all good things. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope. Amen.

Be encouraged to continue to declare His wondrous works as He daily teaches and keeps you, for He who has been your Teacher from your youth will not fail you now.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
