Warlock raped and got away with it

Thank you for trusting us with such a painful and heavy part of your story. What was done to you was evil and wrong. Rape is a grave sin and God does not take it lightly. The hurt you have carried for years, and the ongoing wounds from that abuse, are real, and it is understandable that you feel unseen and that justice has not been done.

One of the hardest things to live through is when wrong is not made right in this life. Human justice is meant to be impartial and fair, without favoritism, but often it fails. Scripture describes a time when truth had fallen in the street and justice stood far off, and no one was calling for what was right. God saw that, and He sees it still. He is a God of righteousness who wants justice to prevail, and when courts and people refuse to stand for what is right, He is not blind to it. He knows when people use power to harm others and when those who should protect instead look away.

The greatest injustice in history was when Jesus, who had done no wrong, was condemned to die. That was a complete perversion of justice, yet through it God satisfied the demands of true justice by laying our sin upon Christ, so that sinners could be forgiven and stand before Him. That does not excuse the sin done against you, but it does mean that no sin escapes His sight. Even if a person shows no remorse and faces no consequences now, God will bring perfect and final justice. No one truly gets away with evil before Him. We pray that earthly justice would still be done where possible, and we encourage you, if you are in any ongoing danger, to seek safety and to reach out for trusted help, including godly counsel, medical and trauma-informed care, and the proper authorities who can protect you.

We also pray for your healing. Healing is something we do not fully understand. Sometimes God brings restoration in a moment, and sometimes it comes gradually, step by step. Any true healing is from Him, including the natural processes He built into our bodies and minds. He heals not only physically but also the deep wounds and scars left in the mind and emotions. The prophet Isaiah said that the Messiah would bear our infirmities and carry our sorrows, and the Gospels show Jesus healing sickness, calming troubled hearts, and lifting heavy burdens. We believe He still heals today, and that includes the inner wounds left by violence and abuse. Even when healing is slow, it is still real and still divine.

Your marriage is a good and precious gift. God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy belongs within that covenant alone. What was forced upon you outside of that was not love and was never God's will. We thank God for your marriage and pray He will guard it and strengthen it, and that you will know increasing safety, peace, and trust within it.

We are praying for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone is our Savior, we lift up this dear one who has been so deeply wounded. You see what was done in secret and what has been ignored by others. You are the God who loves justice and truth. Bring protection where there is still harm, bring truth into the light, and bring just consequences according to Your perfect righteousness. We ask for healing that touches every part, body, mind, and heart. Where there are painful memories, fear, and scars that will not fade, bring Your gentle and gradual restoration. Comfort this heart with the assurance that You have not forgotten, that You draw near to the brokenhearted, and that You will be the intercessor when no one else will stand. Give wisdom to all who can help and surround this marriage with Your peace and strength. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who bore our sins and our sorrows that we might be healed and made whole. Amen.

Please do not walk through this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or counselor, please continue to reach out to them, and if you are in danger, please seek immediate help from safe people and qualified professionals. We will keep praying for you for ongoing protection, for justice, and for the deep healing only God can give.
