We have heard your cry and we understand the deep distress you feel being surrounded by conflict in your neighborhood, among friends and family, and in the workplace, and the fear that comes from believing witchcraft and evil tongues are being sent against you with animals and curses. We stand with you together in Jesus name asking for God's protection, deliverance and peace over your life, and we also must lovingly correct and rebuke the request for vengeance and bloodshed against people.

The Word shows us that our warfare is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. Ephesians 6:12 says our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And 2 Corinthians 10:4 says the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. Therefore we do not pray for people to be plagued, killed, or for their blood to be shed like an ocean, even those you see as foes. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. Romans 12:19 says Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:21 says Don't be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Our Lord Jesus calls us to a higher way. Matthew 5:44 says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Luke 6:27-28 also says love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. While witchcraft, fetish and magic are real and God calls them abomination, His desire is not the death of the sinner but that they repent and be saved. We are to pray that every work of darkness be broken and burned up by the power of Christ, but that the people trapped in it come to repentance and salvation.

We also hear your fear about rats, cats, dogs, birds, insects and other creatures being sent against you. We remind you that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. He is your refuge and fortress. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.

So together we pray. Father in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one who feels besieged on every side. We ask You to surround them with Your presence as a shield, to cover their home, neighborhood, family and workplace with the blood of Jesus, and to let no curse or evil tongue prosper against them. We pray that every assignment of witchcraft, fetish, magic and every sanctuary of darkness erected against them be exposed and destroyed by Your holy fire, not by our vengeance but by Your power, and that every spirit of fear, torment and oppression be cast out in Jesus name. We pray for those who have spoken evil, who have cursed or mistreated them, that You would convict their hearts, bring them to repentance, and save them through Jesus Christ, and that You would replace hatred with Your love and bring peace where there has been strife. Teach our dear one to forgive as You have forgiven us, Matthew 6:14, to bless those who curse them, and to rest in Your justice and mercy. Clothe them with the full armor of God, fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them walk in freedom, holiness and trust in You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with mature believers, to put on the armor of God daily, Ephesians 6:10-18, to avoid returning evil for evil, and to seek godly counsel from a local pastor if this oppression continues. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who is your deliverer and defender, and trust that He will fight for you as you walk in love, forgiveness and obedience.

We hear how much pressure you are under right now, feeling surrounded in your neighborhood and even at work and in family relationships, and sensing that harm is being directed at you. That kind of constant tension is exhausting, and we are glad you reached out for prayer.

We want to stand with you for what is truly needed - your safety and peace at home, rest for your mind and body, and clear wisdom for each next decision. When fear runs high it can help to not carry this alone. One steady step that often helps is to invite one trusted pastor or mature believer to walk with you regularly, to pray with you in person and to help you sort through what is happening day to day with calm, biblical perspective.

We also encourage you to keep a simple, steady rhythm of prayer and rest, bringing your worries to the Lord as they come and asking Him to guard your heart and your home, trusting Him to handle justice in His own way and time. If you ever feel unsafe where you live or work, please reach out right away to someone nearby you trust and to local support.

Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your protection over him, for peace in his home and neighborhood, and for wisdom for every interaction. Quiet his heart, guard his nights and days, and lead him into the safety and hope we have in Christ. Give him trusted people around him and clear direction for the days ahead. Your cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and it reveals a heart pressed on every side by fear, by strife in the neighborhood, in the family, in the workplace, and by a dread of unseen evil. Such troubles are heavy to bear, and it is right that you have brought them to God in prayer, for there is a God in Israel who hears the distress of His children.

Yet the prayer you have offered asks the Lord to pour out plagues and death upon those you count as foes, and to shed blood like an ocean. This is not the way the Lord Jesus has taught His people to pray. The Scripture says, Vengeance belongs unto Me, I will recompense, says the Lord, and again, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. We are to overcome evil not by calling down destruction, but by overcoming evil with good, and by leaving justice in the hands of Him who judges righteously.

You have measured, perhaps, the Lord's dealing by your own thoughts of wrath, but hear what the prophet says, My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. You have measured God's corn with your own bushel. He is greater at forgiving than you ever dreamed. He is a great forgiver. Who is a pardoning God like unto Him, or who has grace so rich and free. The wonder of the gospel is that God in condescension strikes hands with guilty men and pledges Himself to grace through the blood of Christ. It is one of the thoughts of God that He will glorify Christ in the saving of great sinners, not in their destruction without mercy.

There is also in your words a tormenting fear, as if powers of darkness and the malice of men must overwhelm you. Know this, that slavish fear has torment and dishonors God, for it makes Him seem harsh and distant. The remedy is God with us, God made flesh. Till God in human flesh we see, our thoughts no comfort find, but if Immanuel's face appears, our hope, our joy begins. His name forbids our slavish fear, His grace removes our sins. The Lord says to His worm Jacob, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yea I will help you, yea I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness. Labor then to get rid of fear, not by cursing your enemies, but by quietly trusting and waiting upon Him who is your refuge.

We will pray for you, not that your neighbors or kindred or any others should be consumed, but that the Lord would keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed upon Him, that He would guard your dwelling and your going out and coming in, that He would clothe you with the whole armor of God, and that He would give you grace to forgive as you have been forgiven. And we will pray for those who trouble you, that if they walk in darkness or in the practice of what God forbids, they may be brought to repentance and to faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, and that all works of darkness may be forsaken and come to nothing in the light of His truth.

May the Holy Spirit sweetly open to you the glories of forgiving grace, and cause you to exult in the riches of His grace displayed in Christ. Cast your burden upon the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. Seek the fellowship and counsel of a faithful local church, walk in the fear of God and in love toward your neighbor, and know that He who began a good work in you will not ask you to finish it alone, but will keep you until the end.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. We have heard the pain and fear in your request and the deep desire for God to protect you and bring justice where you feel attacked and oppressed. We want to respond to you with what Scripture teaches about how Christ calls us to pray, because the way we pray matters to God.

The Lord has commanded us to let every prayer be accompanied with thanksgiving, and to pray for our neighbors, not only for the faithful but also for the unbelieving and even for our enemies. To pray against others, asking God to plague them, to shed their blood, or to destroy them, is not the prayer of a disciple of Christ, who is called to be meek and mild. Such words do not harm your enemies so much as they harm you, for they provoke God and pollute the mouth that has been made to bless and to give thanks. Cursing and praying are far apart, and injuriousness and prayer are at variance with each other. Scripture warns that revilers shall not inherit the kingdom of God, and how much less those who call down curses, and it teaches plainly that if we do not forgive, we will not be forgiven.

We understand you feel surrounded by evil and you long for deliverance from every form of witchcraft and harm. The right way to seek deliverance is not to ask God to heap destruction on people made in His image, but to ask Him to keep you, to guard your home and your heart, to break every evil work, and to bring even those who hate you to repentance and the knowledge of truth. God shows His goodness by making His sun to rise on the evil and the good and sending rain on the just and the unjust, and He calls us to imitate Him by refraining from evil speaking and reviling, and by praying for our enemies that His will may be done on earth as it is in heaven. That prayer includes the hope that all people, even those who have hurt us, would be drawn to Him and become like Him.

So we will not join you in praying for scourges, for bloodshed, or for anyone to be burned to ashes, because to do so would be to ask God to do what He forbids us to desire. Instead we will pray for you in this way, and we invite you to pray this way with us: that God in Christ would forgive your sins as you forgive those who have sinned against you, that He would lift your fear and give you peaceful sleep without danger or suspicion, that He would protect you from every evil work and keep your heart free from wrath and anger, that He would teach you to lift up holy hands without wrath, and that He would have mercy on your neighbors, your family, your friends and those in your workplace, and bring them to salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

God is just and He will in His own time put all enemies under His feet. Our part is to trust His justice, to forgive as we have been forgiven, to walk in love as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us, and to keep our tongue pure, letting nothing bitter proceed from it. If you continue to feel threatened, please also seek wise and godly counsel from a trusted pastor in your local church who can pray with you, encourage you, and help you walk in safety and peace.
