We hear your cry for protection and justice and we stand with you in prayer against every work of darkness, every evil tongue, and every form of witchcraft, fetish and magic that has been directed against you in your neighborhood, among friends and family, in the workplace and beyond.

We understand the pain of feeling surrounded and attacked, and the desire to see God bring swift judgment as He did in Egypt. Yet we must lovingly correct and rebuke the request for your foes to be plagued, killed and their blood shed like an ocean. Vengeance does not belong to us, it belongs to the Lord. Romans 12:19 says, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And our Lord Jesus calls us to a higher way in this spiritual battle, Matthew 5:44 says, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Luke 6:27-28 says, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. We are not to pray for the death and destruction of people, but for God to destroy the works of darkness, to bring conviction, repentance and salvation to those who are lost, and to silence every lying tongue according to His perfect justice and mercy.

Our warfare is not against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 says, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. The animals and creatures you mentioned cannot have power over you when you are hidden in Christ. 1 John 4:4 says, Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. James 4:7 says, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Isaiah 54:17 says, No weapon that is formed against you will prevail and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.

We also hear your heart for passages like Psalm 35, Psalm 94, Exodus 22:18 and the judgments in Exodus 7, Exodus 8, Exodus 9, Exodus 10, Exodus 11 and Exodus 12. Those scriptures show that God does judge witchcraft and oppression and He does defend His people. But under the new covenant through Jesus Christ, we are called to overcome evil with good and to put on the whole armor of God, Ephesians 6:11, Ephesians 6:13-18, trusting God to fight for us as He did in 2 Chronicles 20:22-25 where the Lord set ambushes against the enemy without His people needing to shed blood in vengeance.

We join together and pray with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to Your throne. We lift up our dear one who feels afflicted and surrounded. We ask You to cover them with Your protection, Psalm 91:1 says, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Let no curse, no spell, no fetish, no sanctuary of witchcraft prevail against them. We pray that every work of darkness be exposed and brought to nothing, reduced to dust by Your power, not by our hands. We ask that You silence every evil tongue that rises to accuse and slander, and that You bring conviction and repentance to those who practice evil, that they might be saved and turned from darkness to light. We break fear and superstition in Jesus name and we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, to bless and not curse, and to walk in holiness and in the authority of Christ. Let Your will be done in their neighborhood, home and workplace, and let Your light drive out all darkness. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship with faithful believers. Keep your heart free from bitterness, walk in forgiveness, put on the armor of God daily, and trust the Lord to be your defender and your justice.

We hear how exhausting it must be to feel surrounded at home, at work, and even in your neighborhood, as if everything around you is turned against you. Wanting to feel safe where you live is a deeply human need, and we are holding that with you before the Lord.

We believe the spiritual battle is real, and at the same time God does not want us to live consumed by fear of enemies or by watching for what others might be sending against us. That kind of focus can wear down our peace even more. What has helped many believers is to turn the focus toward resting in Christ's protection and letting God carry the weight of justice, while we seek wisdom for daily life.

It can help not to carry this alone. Would you consider sharing what you are experiencing with a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby who can pray with you in person, listen carefully, and walk with you over time? Meeting together regularly for prayer and encouragement can be steadier than fighting these battles in isolation.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus name. Cover him with Your peace where he feels threatened, quiet fear with Your presence, and guide him toward wise, safe next steps. Lead him into supportive community and keep his heart anchored in Your love and care. Amen.

We have heard the anguish and fear expressed in your prayer, and we take seriously the distress that has moved you to cry out in this way. Fear is always a distressing and weakening thing, whether it be fear of outward danger or inward trouble, and many of God's people have known what it is to feel beset on every side and to long for deliverance.

Yet the way of Christ is not to call down destruction upon those who trouble us, but to bring every trouble to God's feet and to trust Him to act in righteousness and mercy. Our Lord teaches us to love our enemies, to bless them that curse us, and to pray for them that despitefully use us. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He has said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay. It is not for us to ask for blood to be shed like an ocean, or for plagues to fall upon our neighbors, friends or family, but to ask that God would do what is just and holy, and that He would show mercy where mercy may be found.

We cannot join you in asking God to bring death and scourges upon others, for that would be to ask Him to do what His Word forbids us to desire. What we can do, and will do, is pray for you as Scripture directs. We will pray that where there is real evil, witchcraft or malice, God would bring it to nothing and cause it to fail, not by our cursing but by His sovereign power. We will pray that those who may intend harm would be brought to see their sin, to repent, and to find forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. The measure of God's forgiveness is according to the riches of His grace, and that grace is held out even to those we count as foes.

We will also pray for you, that in place of fear you may know a living, loving and lasting union with Christ, so that what time you are afraid you may trust in Him. When Christ is trusted really and intensely, fear is banished, and the soul finds rest. We pray that God would guard your home and your workplace, give you peace in your neighborhood, quiet your heart where you have been tormented, and keep you from all evil, and that He would teach you to overcome evil with good.

Let us pray together in this way. Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would protect this soul from all fear and harm, that You would surround them with Your presence and give them calm trust in You. If any indeed practice evil against them, frustrate those designs and bring them to dust in Your own holy way. Bring all who do wrong to repentance, that they may be forgiven through the blood of Christ, and teach Your child to forgive as they have been forgiven, to love as they have been loved, and to leave all judgment in Your righteous hands. Grant peace, deliverance and holiness, for Christ's sake. Amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your request has been heard and we understand the pain and fear you feel when you believe you are surrounded by foes in your neighborhood, among friends and family, and at your workplace, and when you feel harmed by what you describe as witchcraft and evil sent against you. It is right to bring your distress to God, for He is your refuge and protector, but we must also consider how Christ teaches us to pray.

The Christian way is not to ask God to pour out plagues, to shed blood like an ocean, or to kill those who oppose us. When we pray against others in that way we harm our own soul. As it has been taught, when we ought to tremble for our own sins and seek pardon, we should not come to move God against our brother. With what measure we measure, it will be measured to us again, and with what judgment we judge, we will be judged. If we ask God to be severe toward others, we forbid Him to be merciful toward us.

Our Lord teaches us to pray in the opposite way. Being reviled, we bless. Being persecuted, we endure. Being defamed, we entreat. Stephen, even as he was being stoned unjustly, prayed, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. He prayed for his enemies instead of praying against them. We who have received mercy are called to show mercy, and we benefit ourselves by loving those who grieve us, while we punish ourselves by hating them. To bear meekly the spiteful acts of others brings deliverance from sins, patience, mildness, and freedom from continual anger.

Scripture tells us that God will put His enemies under His feet in His own time and in His own justice. Our true enemies are not flesh and blood, but sin, the evil one, and the unclean life that is enmity against God. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, not to us. Our part is to seek holiness, to turn from sin, and to pray that all people, even those who do us harm, may repent and be saved through Jesus Christ alone.

So we will not pray for the death or destruction of your neighbors or anyone else, nor for bloodshed or curses to fall upon them. Instead we will pray with you in this way:

Father in heaven, we ask for Your mercy and protection over this person who feels beset and afraid. Guard them from all evil, from fear, and from every work of darkness, and bring to nothing any evil intent directed against them. Give them peace in their home, in their neighborhood, and at work, and quiet the strife around them. Forgive their sins as they seek to forgive those who have hurt them. Work in the hearts of those who oppose them, that they may turn from wrongdoing and come to know Your grace and truth in Jesus Christ. Teach all of us to love even our enemies and to bless those who curse us, trusting Your perfect justice and mercy. Amen.
