We hear your cry about feeling surrounded by warfare in your new neighborhood, among family, and in your workplace, and we join with you in seeking God's protection and deliverance in Jesus' name. We understand the distress of feeling targeted by evil tongues, witchcraft, and occult oppression, and we take your burden seriously, yet we must also lovingly correct how this prayer has been framed, because it does not align with the heart and will of God revealed in Scripture.

We are called to wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. The people you have named, whether neighbors, family members, or coworkers, are not to be prayed against unto death, bloodshed, or destruction. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. Beloved, don't avenge yourselves, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. Our Lord Jesus commands us, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, Matthew 5:44, and Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you, Luke 6:28. To pray for twelve scourges, for blood to be shed like an ocean, and for people to be burned to ashes and reduced to dust, is to ask for what God forbids us to seek. We are to overcome evil with good, Romans 12:21, and to desire what God desires, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9.

The Scriptures you cited do show God's power and justice, Thou shalt not allow a sorceress to live, Exodus 22:18, and Yahweh kills, and makes alive, 1 Samuel 2:6, and the plagues upon Egypt, Exodus 7:14-24, Exodus 8, Exodus 9, Exodus 10, Exodus 11, Exodus 12, and Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me, Psalm 35:1, and Yahweh, God to whom vengeance belongs, Psalm 94:1, and the judgment at Joshua 11:11, and when Judah prayed Yahweh set ambushes against their enemies, 2 Chronicles 20:22-25. Yet in each case it was God Himself who judged righteously in His sovereignty, not men cursing their enemies unto death. Even the psalms of imprecation ultimately leave judgment in God's hands, and under the new covenant we are commanded to follow Christ who when He was cursed, didn't curse back, 1 Peter 2:23.

Witchcraft, occultism, sexual immorality including masturbation, homosexuality and transsexuality which you mentioned, and robbery and scamming are indeed sin and are works of darkness that the Bible calls us to renounce. Fornication and impurity, same sex relations, and sorcery are contrary to God's design for holiness, Galatians 5:19-21, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. The term marine spirit is not a biblical term, but we do recognize that behind such sins are deceiving spirits, and our warfare is to pray for conviction, repentance, and deliverance for those bound, not for their annihilation. We also note you did call upon the name of Jesus, and we rejoice that you know it is only through Him we have access to the Father, for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

So we will not agree in prayer for the death or torture of any person, but we do stand with you for God's protection, for the breaking of every curse and witchcraft assignment, for silencing of lying tongues, and for your peace in your home and workplace.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust, Psalm 91:2. We ask You to cover our brother or sister with the blood of Jesus and with Your armor, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, Ephesians 6:11. We ask You to submit this child of Yours fully to You, that as they resist the devil he will flee from them, James 4:7, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4. Lord, we ask You to rebuke every work of witchcraft, occult power, and evil tongue spoken against them in their neighborhood, family and workplace, and let no weapon that is formed against them prosper, Isaiah 54:17. Keep them from the snares of the lips of the wicked, Psalm 140:3, Psalm 141:3, and give them favor and peace where they dwell and where they labor.

Father, we also lift up those who have opposed and persecuted them, those neighbors, family members and coworkers, including those bound in occultism and sexual immorality. We do not ask for their bloodshed, but for their salvation. Open their eyes to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, Acts 26:18. Convict them of sin, righteousness and judgment, John 16:8, and lead them to repentance. Let any witchcraft or deceit be rendered powerless and brought to nothing by the light of Christ, for You have disarmed the principalities and powers, Colossians 2:15.

Lord, teach our dear one to walk in holiness, in forgiveness, and in constant prayer, to bless and not curse, Romans 12:14, and to overcome evil with good. Fill their new neighborhood and their workplace with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and let their life be a testimony that draws others to Jesus. We ask that You establish them, guard them from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and let no fear rule over them, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We trust Your perfect justice and Your perfect mercy, and we rest in Your will. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain in daily prayer, fasting as the Lord leads, and in the Word, putting on the whole armor of God each day, Ephesians 6:10-18, and to seek fellowship with a Bible believing church for covering and counsel. If oppression continues, seek godly pastoral help, keep your heart free from hatred, and continue to bless those who persecute you, for this is our calling in Christ.

We have been holding your request before the Lord and we hear how burdened you feel in this new neighborhood and also with family and at work. Feeling targeted or surrounded can be exhausting, and it makes sense you are longing for God's protection and for justice to be done.

We hold to the truth that God sees every detail of what you are facing, and He is able to guard your heart and home as you walk close with Him. When the pressure feels high, we have found it helps to turn our focus toward asking for His peace over our own lives, for wisdom in daily interactions, and for His will to be done, leaving the matter of justice in His hands.

If you have not already, it may steady you to invite one trusted pastor or mature believer who knows you to pray with you regularly and to talk through practical boundaries and support for the stresses at work and in the neighborhood, so you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we lift our brother to You and ask for Your covering over him, his family, his home and his workplace. Grant him rest, clear wisdom, and a deep sense of Your nearness and care. Lead him in Your peace and guide his steps each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden concerning strife in your neighborhood, in your family and in your workplace has been heard, and the distress that makes you feel beset on every side is not lightly regarded.

The Scriptures teach us that our afflictions may come distinctly from man, as the result of malice or persecution, and yet they may come with even greater certainty from the Lord and may be the necessary outcome of His special love to us. For this reason we may wisely moderate our anger against second causes. Faith comforts the tried child of God not by promising the destruction of his enemies after the flesh, but by assuring him of forgiveness of sin and security from punishment, and by teaching him the difference between chastisement and punishment.

There is forgiveness, but that forgiveness is only to be obtained from God, through Jesus Christ, His Son. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. It could never have come into our hearts to love and fear Him with a holy awe if we had not received the forgiveness of our sins for Christ's sake. That forgiveness is unlimited in its character because it comes from the true God and accords with His attributes of loving kindness and truth, and it is sealed by precious blood. And where that forgiveness is enjoyed, God puts His fear in our hearts, giving a new heart and a new spirit within us.

You have asked for plagues and bloodshed and fire upon those you count as foes. We cannot join you in asking the Lord to plague or kill any person made in His image, for vengeance belongs to Him and our calling is otherwise. The Lord Jesus taught us to love our enemies and to pray for those who oppose us, because He Himself loved us when we were yet enemies and gave Himself as a ransom. As it is written, He is gracious and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. That ransom is Christ, and God has given commandment to save all who trust in Him, to save them from themselves, from sin, from the devil and from the power of darkness.

Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone, for both. He has taught many to say, He has delivered us from the power of darkness. If sin is taken away, why need we fear. If He gave His own dear Son to put away our sin, will He not also keep us in daily troubles and give us bread and water.

Therefore we will pray not for the death of your neighbors or kindred or fellow workers, but for your preservation and for their salvation. We pray that the Lord would chasten you sorely only as a Father chastens a beloved child, and not give you over unto death, that you may say with the Psalmist, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. We pray that He would keep back your soul from the Pit and your life from perishing, that He would guard your dwelling and your labor from all evil, and that He would turn the hearts of those who practice occult arts or walk in sexual sin, including homosexuality and transexuality and all uncleanness, not to destruction without remedy, but to repentance and faith. For such things are contrary to the holy and good design of God, who made marriage a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and appointed all sexual intimacy to belong within it, and who offers forgiveness and new life to all who turn from sin to Christ.

May the Lord grant you grace to overcome evil with good, to boast of His deliverance till all that are distressed take comfort from your example, and to live in loving union with Christ, whose desires become our desires as we are changed into His image from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord.

We pray that you may know that there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ, that you may be delivered from going down to the Pit because a ransom has been found, and that being delivered from the power of darkness you may walk in light and peace, trusting Him to deal justly and mercifully with all men.

We commend you to Him who alone can forgive, deliver and keep.

Your request has been heard and the distress you feel in your neighborhood, in your family and in your workplace is taken seriously before the Lord. It is painful to feel surrounded by conflict, by evil tongues, by occult practice and by sexual immorality, and it is right to bring these burdens to God and to seek His protection and His holiness.

We cannot pray as you have worded it, asking God to plague people with scourges, to shed their blood like an ocean or to kill them. The Scriptures teach that vengeance belongs to the Lord and that He will repay in His own time and justice. Our Lord Jesus Christ entered heaven to appear in the presence of God for us, offering Himself as the sacrifice that makes peace between God and humanity, and He calls His people to seek that peace. He taught us to love our enemies, to bless those who curse us and to pray for those who mistreat us, not that God would destroy them, but that God would restrain evil, bring conviction of sin and lead them to repentance and salvation. The enemies of God, whether demonic powers or unbelief, will be put under Christ's feet when He wills, and we are to wait for His judgment while we walk faithfully now.

The Scriptures also teach a historic and unchanging ethic for holy living. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. Practices outside of this, including fornication, adultery, use of sexual devices outside marriage, homosexual practice and transsexual practice, as well as witchcraft, the occult, robbery and scamming, are sin before God. We do not affirm, celebrate or ask God to bless what He calls sin. Instead we pray that those caught in such sins, and those who practice witchcraft and the occult against you, would be brought under conviction, that their deeds would be exposed and forsaken, that they would turn from darkness to light and find forgiveness and cleansing through Christ. We pray the same for you, that God would keep you pure in body and mind and guard you from temptation.

Therefore our prayer for you is shaped by the gospel of peace. We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, that He would be your shield and preserve you from harm, that He would give you wisdom in how to walk carefully in your neighborhood and workplace, making your life a preparation for the gospel. We pray that God would restrain every tongue raised against you, frustrate every plan of witchcraft and occult power, and bring it to nothing without harming souls, that He would protect your family, give you favor and safety, and provide a quiet and godly life where you can serve Him. We pray that those who oppose you would come to know Christ and be reconciled to God, and that if they persist in evil, God in His perfect justice would stop their wrongdoing according to His will. We pray that you would be strengthened not to seek conflict or to rush into spiritual warfare in a boastful way, but to endure affliction with meekness, to overcome evil with good, and to show love where God has placed responsibility and reverent fear of the Lord where He calls for order.

May the Lord who has perfected forever those who are sanctified by one offering keep you firm in faith, make your feet ready to carry the good news of peace, and teach you to bear all things nobly while trusting Him to act in righteousness.
