Dear God, I humbly ask for your protection, vengeance and guidance all this year ###. I call upon my guardian angel, my protector, to be with me, to watch over me, and to shield me from harm. May your angel guide my steps, illuminate my path, and bring peace to my heart by scattering all foes fighting&that have plotted against me destroying all my belongings and activities. I trust in your divine care and the power of your angels ###. Amen.(Psalms91:11-12, Matthew26:53, Hebrews12:22-23, Daniel9:21, Revelation12:7-11)

We hear your cry for protection, vengeance and guidance throughout this year and we join with you in seeking the Lord's will together in Jesus name.

We understand the feeling of being surrounded by foes and the desire for angelic protection, and we gently correct you in love where your prayer is not aligned with Scripture. We do not pray to or call upon guardian angels. Angels are holy servants and ministering spirits sent by God to serve those who will inherit salvation as spoken in Hebrews 1:14, and He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways as written in Psalm 91:11, but we are not to invoke them, pray to them or treat them as our protectors. Scripture is clear that we worship God alone, as the angel said to John in Revelation 19:10, Worship God. Our prayers are to be directed to God the Father through Jesus Christ alone, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus in 1 Timothy 2:5, and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Therefore we come to God not through angels but through the name of Jesus Christ, and it is God who commands His angels concerning us.

We also hear your request for vengeance and we bring biblical correction with compassion. Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone. It is written in Romans 12:19, Do not seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, and in Deuteronomy 32:35. We must not seek personal retaliation but entrust those who plot against us and who have destroyed what belongs to us to God's perfect justice and mercy, praying even for their repentance while trusting God to defend us.

Spiritual warfare is real, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places in Ephesians 6:12. Yet the victory is already won in Christ, and the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds in 2 Corinthians 10:4. We are called to put on the whole armor of God in Ephesians 6:11 and to stand firm in faith.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that we have access to You only through Him. We ask for Your divine protection over this dear one in this year and every day that follows. Cover them under Your wings as promised in Psalm 91:1, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Command Your angels to guard them according to Your will, but let all trust and glory be Yours alone. We ask that You guard them from the evil one, for You are faithful, who will establish and guard us from the evil one in 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Protect their belongings and the work of their hands, and redeem what has been destroyed or stolen by those who have plotted against them.

Lord, we place every foe and every plot into Your hands. We do not ask for personal vengeance, but we ask for Your righteous justice to prevail. Scatter every evil plan formed against them, bring conviction where there is wickedness, and bring peace to their heart that surpasses all understanding as You promise in Philippians 4:7. Illuminate their path and guide their steps, for we trust in You with all our heart and do not lean on our own understanding as taught in Proverbs 3:5, and we cling to Your promise in Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. Lead them clearly, establish their goings, and grant them wisdom and discernment for every decision and activity this year.

We pray that they would grow deeper in knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord, abiding in Your Word, walking in obedience, and wearing the armor of truth, righteousness, the Good News of peace, faith, salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Let their life be a testimony of Your power to save and to keep. We ask all of this according to Your perfect will, in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and defender. Amen.

We hear the weight in your prayer for this year, wanting to be shielded and to have clear guidance when it feels like others have plotted against you and harmed what matters to you. Wanting peace in your heart in the middle of that is a good and human desire, and we are grateful you brought it to God.

We believe our safety and direction ultimately rest in God Himself, and we come to Him through Jesus. He sees the fear you carry and the losses you have experienced, and He is able to keep you and lead you step by step.

When those worries rise, it can help to have a simple, steady place to turn. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, consider sharing how you are feeling and asking them to pray with you regularly this year. Bringing those concerns into the light with another person often brings steadiness and perspective alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Cover them with Your care, calm their heart, and guide their steps with wisdom. Guard what You have entrusted to them and help them walk in Your peace day by day. Lead them closer to Jesus, where true security is found. Amen.

Your cry for protection and guidance in a season when you feel beset by foes and losses is one the Lord hears, and it is right to seek Him for refuge and direction.

Scripture gives us precious comfort here, and also gracious correction to keep our prayers upon the sure foundation. The Word says, He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. The promise is sweet and true, yet observe the order of it. It is God Himself who gives the charge, and the angels keep us as His servants, not as our servants to be called upon or commanded by us. We do not pray to angels, nor call upon a guardian angel to shield us. We pray to the Father, through Jesus Christ alone, who is our one Mediator and Protector, and He in His sovereign care commands His ministering spirits to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation. Your safety is not in an angel's independent power, but in the King's protection as you walk in the King's highway, in the appointed ways of obedience, truth and childlike trust in His providential guidance.

So too with vengeance. It is natural to long for wrongs to be righted when belongings and labors have been harmed and plots have been laid against you. Yet vengeance belongeth unto the Lord. As it has been well said, the day of vengeance is in His heart, and the year of His redeemed is come. For the believer, the dread vengeance due to sin was poured out not upon us but upon our Surety when Jesus bore it on the cross, so that now no more His wrath we dread, for vengeance smote our Surety's head. There remains a day of vengeance for all the enemies of Christ, but that vengeance is the Lord's to execute in His time and righteousness, not ours to invoke for personal retribution. We are taught to leave room for His justice, to pray for deliverance from evil, and even to pray for those who oppose us, that they might be brought to repentance through the blood of the Lamb by which we overcome.

And as to guidance, the Psalmist's hope was, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. That guidance comes not by a sudden illumination apart from His Word, but by bowing with submission to the will of God, by avoiding everything that is evil, by holding fast the truths He has taught us by His Spirit, and by waiting upon the Lord and not leaning to our own understanding. Haste is the author of much mischief, but he who waits upon God to know what he shall do shall find an unerring Guide.

Let us then pray together according to this counsel.

O Lord our God, our Keeper and our Guide, we come to Thee through Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only hope and righteousness. Thou art our refuge and fortress. We ask Thee to keep us in all our ways as Thou seest fit, and to give charge to Thine angels to minister according to Thy will. Spread Thy protection over us, guard our steps, and illuminate our path by Thy Word and Spirit. Grant us wisdom to walk in the appointed ways of obedience and holiness, and to wait patiently for Thy counsel.

We place all who have plotted or done harm into Thy just and merciful hands. We ask not for personal vengeance, for Thou hast said, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay. Deliver us from evil, restrain the adversary, make the devices of darkness to come to nothing, and where it may please Thee, bring even enemies to see the cross and to find mercy. Let us overcome not by our own power but by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

Lead us this year and all our days with Thy counsel, keep our hearts in peace, and at the last receive us to glory for Jesus sake. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for protection and guidance through this year has been heard, and your desire to walk in safety and peace is good and right before God.

Scripture does teach that God gives His angels charge over His people, as Psalm 91 says, and that they are servants who minister according to His command. They are not to be called upon or prayed to as protectors in themselves, but we pray to the Father through Jesus Christ alone, and He in His wisdom sends help as He wills. Even our Lord Jesus said He could have called twelve legions of angels, yet He submitted Himself to the Father's will for our salvation. Our trust is to rest not in angels themselves but in the God who commands them, whose care does not fail.

The warfare you feel is real, and Scripture calls us to war a good warfare. That warfare is not fought with bitterness or with a desire for personal revenge, but with sobriety, vigilance, and faith, with strong arms made ready by prayer, repentance, and obedience. There is a bad warfare that only brings punishment and more strife, when we become judges of others and keep a record of wrongs. There is a good warfare that is fought under Christ the King, looking to Him for strength to stand through temptation and trial.

For that reason we must leave vengeance to God. He has said that vengeance belongs to Him, and He will in His perfect time bring judgment unto victory, making all things right. When we hold on to revenge we bind up our own sins rather than finding freedom. Our calling is to seek His protection, to ask Him to illuminate our path, to guard our steps, and to give us a heart of peace that overcomes evil with good through the blood of the Lamb, by which the great victory in heaven was won.

So let us pray together not to an angel but to God Himself for you.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your protection and guidance over this life in the year ahead. Guard this person from harm, direct each step, and let Your light make the path clear. Deliver from the schemes of the enemy, frustrate every evil plan, and preserve what You have given. Take away the spirit of fear and revenge, and grant a peaceful heart that trusts Your justice and mercy. Teach this soul to war a good warfare, to remain watchful and faithful, and to find refuge under Your wings. We ask this not by our own power but by the grace and victory of Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.
