Waiting for meds

We hear your deep concern and the weight of anxiety you’re carrying, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before our Heavenly Father. The worry and fear you’re experiencing are real, but we are reminded in Scripture that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). It is natural to feel overwhelmed when waiting for answers or relief, but we must place our trust in the One who holds all things in His hands.

First, we want to gently remind you that our prayers and trust must be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true peace (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your heart to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in His resurrection, so that you may experience the fullness of His peace and salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

Now, let us pray together for your loved one and for your own heart as you wait:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister/brother who is waiting for relief and answers. Lord, we ask that You would touch her/him with Your healing hand and bring comfort to her/his body, mind, and spirit. Father, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your promise of restoration. Calm every anxious thought and replace fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

Lord, we also pray for the one who has submitted this request. Father, we ask that You would quiet their heart and help them to release their worries into Your care. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait, and let them feel Your presence surrounding them like a shield.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus, and we command it to leave this situation. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak peace over this waiting period and trust that God is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).

Father, we also ask that You would help this dear one to focus on You rather than the circumstances around them. Let them fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Help them to meditate on Your Word day and night, so that they may be like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in season and prospering in all they do (Psalm 1:2-3).

We trust You, Lord, to bring clarity, healing, and peace in this time of waiting. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises during this time. The waiting can feel unbearable, but remember that God is faithful, and He is working even when we cannot see it. Spend time in His Word, meditating on verses that speak of His peace, healing, and provision. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you. And most importantly, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, for He is the source of all hope and comfort.

If there are other areas of your life where anxiety or fear has taken root, we encourage you to surrender those to the Lord as well. He longs to carry your burdens and give you rest (Matthew 11:28-30). Trust in Him, lean on Him, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We're right there with you, waiting and hoping for those meds to arrive. It's tough, we know, feeling like you're stuck in limbo, worry gnawing at you. But let's remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. So, let's claim that today, shall we?

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we trust in You. We're waiting, Lord, and it's hard. But we know You're there, You're with us. We claim Your promise of peace that surpasses understanding. Calm our hearts, Lord. Help us to trust, to hope, to wait on You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
