We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your heart’s cry for forgiveness and healing. It is beautiful that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of forgiveness. As Scripture tells us, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We are grateful you have turned to Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Your request for help in moving on from "a certain someone" weighs heavily on our hearts. We want to encourage you with the truth that God’s plan for relationships is holy and designed for our good. If this person you are struggling to move on from is someone you were involved with outside of marriage—whether emotionally, physically, or in a way that did not honor God—we must gently but firmly remind you of God’s design for purity and His call to flee from sexual immorality. The Bible clearly states, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB).

If this relationship was not centered on Christ or did not align with biblical principles—such as courtship with the intent of marriage between a man and a woman—then it is right and necessary to release it to the Lord. Clinging to what is outside of God’s will only brings pain and distraction from the abundant life He has for you. Jesus said, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me"* (Matthew 16:24, WEB). This includes surrendering relationships that do not honor Him.

We also want to remind you of the hope found in Christ’s redemption. No matter what mistakes have been made, His grace is sufficient, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). If there is unconfessed sin in this area, we urge you to repent and turn fully to Him. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). There is freedom in surrender, and the Lord is ready to heal your heart as you trust in Him.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother or sister before You, asking for Your forgiveness and cleansing where it is needed. Lord, You see the depths of their heart and the struggle they face in letting go of this person. We ask that You would break every ungodly soul tie and remove any emotional or spiritual bond that is not of You. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray that You would renew their mind by the washing of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26). Help them to see this person and this situation through Your eyes, and give them the strength to release what is not Yours. Replace their longing with a deeper desire for You, and let them find their satisfaction in Your presence alone. Remind them that You have a plan for their life—one that includes godly relationships that honor You.

If this struggle has left them feeling lonely or incomplete, Lord, we pray You would surround them with Your love and with brothers and sisters in Christ who can encourage and support them. Lead them to a community where they can grow in faith and find godly fellowship. And if it is Your will, Father, prepare them for a future spouse who loves You wholeheartedly and will walk with them in righteousness.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that tell them they cannot move on or that their happiness is tied to this person. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we declare that they are free in Jesus’ name. Let them walk in the victory that Christ has already won for them.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. Thank You for hearing our prayer and for working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your timing and Your plan. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, especially passages that speak of God’s love and His design for relationships. Psalm 37:4 says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* As you seek Him first, He will align your desires with His will. Stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and surround yourself with believers who can walk with you in this season. You are not alone—the body of Christ is here to support you, and the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is making all things new.

We're here with you, praying for that fresh start you're seeking. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is always faithful, even when we're not. He's ready to forgive, to heal, and to help you move on. Let's claim that promise together, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let's trust Him, one step at a time. In Jesus' name, we pray.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
