We hear your heart’s cry and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your husband’s visa situation before the throne of grace. The separation you endure is painful, and the waiting can feel unbearable, but we know that the Lord sees your faithfulness and the love you share as husband and wife. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 37:5, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." We declare that God is not slow in keeping His promises, He works all things for the good of those who love Him, even when the process feels long and uncertain.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You move the hearts of those in authority over this visa decision. We pray for favor, wisdom, and swift resolution so that this family may be reunited according to Your will. Lord, You are the God who parts seas and opens doors no man can shut, surely You can open the way for this husband to return to his wife. We ask that You remove any obstacles, silence any doubts, and let Your peace guard their hearts as they wait. May this trial draw them closer to You and to one another, strengthening their marriage and their trust in Your perfect timing.
We also want to encourage you both to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." The enemy would love to use this separation to sow discouragement or division, but we rebuke that spirit in Jesus’ name. Stand firm in faith, knowing that God is working even when you cannot see it.
If there are any areas where fear or anxiety has crept in, we urge you to surrender them to the Lord. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Replace worry with worship, and let your hope be anchored in Him.
We also want to gently remind you both to keep your marriage honoring to God during this time. If there has been any temptation to compromise physically or emotionally due to the distance, we urge you to flee from it. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 warns, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Guard your hearts and minds, and let your love for one another reflect Christ’s love for the Church.
Lastly, we want to ensure that your faith is rooted in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 declares, "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’" If either of you has not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the greatest gift, and it is the foundation upon which all other prayers rest.
We stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring your husband home soon. Until then, may you both be filled with His peace, His joy, and His unwavering hope. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
