We join you in lifting up these two pending visa applications before the throne of grace and we stand with you in asking for God's favor and His perfect will to be done.
We understand the waiting and uncertainty that comes with this process and the desire for a swift and favorable answer. We are reminded that God is sovereign even over governing authorities and the decisions made by officials, for Romans 13:1 tells us Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God. And Proverbs 21:1 reminds us The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. We can trust that He is able to move hearts and open doors that no man can shut.
We also hear your faith that through prayer anything is possible, and we agree that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask, yet we also cling to the truth that our prayers are most powerful when they are aligned with His will and His timing. 1 John 5:14 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We want to gently encourage you concerning how we approach God in prayer. You addressed your request to Dear Lord, and we rejoice that you are seeking Him, yet we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive salvation. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and our prayers are heard. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We commit your way to Him now, trusting in His good plans for you, for Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Psalm 37:5 also says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. We know that even in waiting, Romans 8:28 assures us We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
So we pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up these two visa applications to You. You see the details, the paperwork, and the hands that will review them. We ask for Your favor to rest upon this process. If it is Your will, we ask that You would speed the processing and grant approval, removing any unnecessary hindrance or delay. We pray for wisdom and diligence for the officers handling these cases and for peace to guard the hearts of those waiting. Help them to trust not in the outcome alone but in Your loving sovereignty, knowing that Your timing is perfect and Your plans are for their good. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding reign in their hearts as they wait upon You. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your request concerning the two visa applications now pending has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours in carrying it to the throne of grace.
You ask the Lord to speed the process and to grant approval, and you do well to bring such temporal mercies to Him who numbers the hairs of our head. Yet let me entreat you to watch over your own spirit while you wait. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To be in a great hurry to do something or other often does more mischief than could possibly have happened if you had kept still, resting in the Lord and waiting patiently for Him. Cast this care also upon Him, for He cares for you.
Scripture bids us, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait I say on the Lord. Waiting upon God is not an idle standing still. It is as a servant waits upon his lord, anxious to know what his master wishes him to do, or as a traveler waits for his guide. In that waiting our strength is renewed until we mount up with eagles wings, for we receive a mysterious strength through the incoming of the Eternal Spirit into our souls. Waiting also makes the world and all its affairs to grow small in our eyes, till we see their real littleness, and it breeds a peace within the soul so that a man at rest within cares little for trials or foes.
You have heard of the patience of Job, the patience of a greatly tried man, imperfect and full of infirmity as we are, yet sustained under long affliction. That patience was not the patience of a brute that cannot complain, nor of the stoic who refuses to feel, but the patience of a child who believes in his fathers love. So the Lord would have you learn patience under this present suspense. Waiting exercises patience, and that is one of the choice gifts of God, and waiting endears every blessing when it comes, so that we get two joys, the joy of waiting for the joy, as well as the joy of enjoying the joy when it comes.
Remember also that the Lord waits that He may be gracious unto you. His waiting is not forgetfulness. It is singular patience and long forbearance, that He may have mercy upon you in the fittest time and in the fullest measure. His people are not waiting in despair, nor even in hesitation, they are waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. Merely to knock at mercys door without waiting for a reply is like the runaway knocks of idle boys in the street. Faith knocks and then waits and watches, confident that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

O gracious Father, Thou knowest the desire of these Thy servants concerning these visas. Thou seest the papers that lie before earthly rulers and Thou rulest the hearts of kings. We ask that if it be according to Thy good and perfect will, Thou wouldst move upon those who must decide, grant favor in their eyes, and speed what may lawfully be sped. If it please Thee, grant approval and open the door that no man can shut. Yet above all we ask for grace to wait only upon God. Keep Thy children from fretting and from anxious thought. Your prayer concerning the two visa applications has been heard and I join you in lifting it to our Father who cares for all our needs.
You have asked rightly, for through prayer we bring everything to God and trust Him to act according to His wisdom and mercy. I pray that the Lord will grant favor before those who are handling these applications, that He will guide their work and, if it is His good will, speed the process and grant approval. I pray also that He will give you peace while you wait and provide for every need that depends on this outcome.
Scripture reminds us that we are saved by hope and that hope which is seen is not hope. Therefore we wait with patience for what God has promised, not being grieved by present delays but trusting His timing. To love God is to endure with patience and not to be troubled, holding firm to the end, knowing that He often strengthens our faith while we wait rather than giving immediately what we ask. This patience itself is part of believing, that we account Him worthy to be trusted even when the answer is not yet seen, and we do not grow fainthearted.
So continue to pray with confidence, yet also with trust in His perfect will. May the Lord comfort your heart, keep you from anxiety, and let His will be done in these matters for your good and for His glory.
