Your request has been heard and I join you in bringing your husband and this final virtual appointment before the Lord.

I thank God for your husband's honorable service and for his return home, and I understand the weight you carry seeing the scars he bears and the suffering that has followed from that injury to the aneurysm. It is right to seek help and to ask for what is just, and to ask God for favor before those who will make this decision.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who came into the world to save sinners and whose mercy exceeds all our hope and expectation, I lift up this husband and wife to You. You see the wound to his head, You know the labor he gave as a mechanic in service, and You know the pain and danger of the aneurysm that followed. Lord, touch his body and preserve him, grant wisdom and clarity to the physicians and to those who review this claim, and let truth be seen clearly. Grant favor in this final appointment if it is according to Your will, and provide for every need in Your mercy. Cover his mind and heart with Your peace, and guard his head and his whole being with the helmet of salvation, for faith in Christ is the true covering that preserves us from harm and keeps our thoughts in hope. Grant this family humility and trust before You, for You look with favor upon the humble and contrite heart, and You hear those who tremble at Your word.

Take courage and continue in prayer with thanksgiving, not accusing others in your heart but entrusting all judgment to God who is just. Whether the answer comes quickly or after waiting, rest in this, that no one can truly harm those who are kept by God, and that His gifts are greater than we dare to ask. May He grant you favor, health, and a quiet confidence as you wait, and may His will be done for your good and for His glory. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden and for allowing us to pray with you. We are lifting up your husband before the Lord, thanking God for his honorable service and for bringing him home, and bringing before the Lord the injury he suffered while serving as a mechanic, the scars that remain, and the serious aneurysm that followed. We are also praying for you as his wife as you carry this concern with him.

We are asking God for His favor to rest upon this final virtual appointment and the decision that will follow. In Scripture favor is often spoken of as grace, the good and unmerited kindness of God toward us. We cannot demand it or earn it, but we can ask the Lord who is just and merciful to grant it, and to guide the hearts of those who will review the claim to act with fairness, clarity, and compassion. We pray that the records would be clearly understood, that the connection between the injury and what has followed would be rightly seen, and that the outcome would be just.

We also bring your husband's health to Jesus, who is our healer. The Bible shows us that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, and once He healed gradually. He did not follow a single pattern, and His power was not limited to one method. That reminds us that God is free to work as He chooses. We also see from Scripture that when Matthew quotes Isaiah he tells us Jesus bore our infirmities and sicknesses, showing that His work on the cross reaches both our spiritual need and our physical brokenness.

There is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some receive a complete and immediate healing and others do not, and why God sometimes allows a thorn to remain even while His grace is sufficient. What we do hold with confidence is that God is able to heal, and that every true healing is from Him. The natural processes of healing that God has built into our bodies are themselves divine, because He is the Creator of nature and of those processes. And His healing touches more than the body alone, He also brings healing to the mind and the emotions, to the wounds and scars that remain long after an injury.

So we pray for your husband in that full sense. We ask the Lord to watch over him regarding the aneurysm, to grant wisdom to any doctors who care for him, to sustain the healing processes in his body, and to bring peace to his mind and heart as he lives with the memory of that injury. Above all we ask for God's will to be done and for His presence to be near to both of you, whatever the decision may be.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this husband and wife to You. You have seen his service, You have seen the injury and the scars, and You know the concern over this aneurysm. We ask for Your healing hand upon him according to Your wisdom and mercy, and for Your comfort and strength for them both. We ask for Your unmerited favor in this appointment and in the decision to come, that what is right and true would prevail. Lead and guide those who make the determination, and let Your peace guard this family as they trust You. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who bore our sicknesses and carries our burdens. Amen.
