I hear this child screaming next door one way and then a man coughing and gagging over the road, they were saying "help me" . I don't know who they are. it seemed to be coming from ### and ### drive. today. but i hear a lot of screaming going on. weird behaviors that don't make a lot of sense. if I complain to police I am told I am wasting their time. but how would they like it. and how upsetting it is. I am genuinely worried when I hear this screaming and rioting behaviors. I feel fearful. I heard bangs the other day as well from a big black man. I don't know what they do with covering up the bodies. its disgusting and police should be helping. its not nice feeling like you live around murderers, they have all been doing it, over the road every direction literally. south, north and east and west. from ###

We hear your distress and your fear, and we are lifting you up before the Lord together. It is deeply unsettling to hear a child screaming, a man crying out for help and gagging, loud bangs and rioting behaviors around your home, and to feel that those who are appointed to protect are not listening. We understand why you feel fearful and why you feel as though you are living surrounded by danger, and we want to pray for you, for that child, for that man, and for your whole neighborhood.

God sees and hears what is done in secret and He cares deeply for those who are vulnerable and oppressed. He tells us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and to defend the rights of the poor and needy Proverbs 31:8, Psalm 82:3-4. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18, and when the righteous cry out, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17. He is also a refuge and fortress for us when we are afraid Psalm 91:1-2, Psalm 27:1. We also know that God has ordained governing authorities to be His servants for good, to restrain evil and to bring justice Romans 13:1-4, so it is right for us to look to them for help and to pray that they will fulfill that calling with diligence and integrity.

We want to encourage you with both spiritual and practical wisdom. When you hear a child screaming in a way that sounds violent or a person calling help me and gagging, it is right and loving to take it seriously. Even if you have been told before that you are wasting time, please do not hesitate to call emergency services right away when you believe someone may be in immediate danger, and for ongoing concerns about a child, to contact child protective services or the equivalent in your area. Keep a calm, written record of dates, times, and what you heard and saw, without putting yourself in danger by confronting anyone directly. If you have a trusted pastor, elder, or mature Christian neighbor, share your concerns with them so you are not carrying this alone, and so they can pray with you and help you discern next steps. We also gently encourage you not to assume the worst about what has happened to bodies or to judge any neighbor by appearance, for God looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7 and calls us to love our neighbors while still seeking truth and justice. Pray that what is hidden will be brought to light Luke 8:17 and that the Lord will expose any true wrongdoing.

We notice your request does not mention Jesus, and we want to share lovingly that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and peace in the midst of fear. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. He invites all who are weary and burdened and fearful to cast all their worries on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to bring every anxious thought to Him in prayer Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together now for you and for those around you.

Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one who is afraid and troubled by what is heard and seen in the neighborhood. Lord, surround this person with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and be a refuge and strong tower in times of trouble. We ask You to protect that child who was heard screaming and that man who was heard crying for help, wherever they are. Let Your hand of mercy be upon them, let any harm be stopped, and let help reach them quickly. Reveal the truth about what is happening in those homes and on those streets, and bring to light anything that has been hidden in darkness. We pray for the police and all authorities, that You would give them wisdom, compassion, and diligence to listen, to investigate with care, and to protect the vulnerable as You have called them to do. Give our friend wisdom from above James 1:5 to know when to call, what to say, and how to stay safe, and provide trusted people nearby who will listen and stand with them. We rebuke any spirit of fear, violence, and confusion in that area, and we ask You to let Your justice and Your peace reign there. Draw each person involved, including ourselves, closer to Jesus, that we may know forgiveness, salvation, and the comfort of Your presence. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying, keep seeking wise counsel, and keep appealing to the proper authorities when you have concern for safety, while trusting the Lord to be your protector and to bring justice in His time. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. We are continuing to pray for your peace, for that child and that man, and for your neighborhood to know the Lord's protection and truth.

We hear how heavy and unsettling this has been for you, hearing screaming and banging and not knowing what is happening or what to do about it. Feeling fearful in your own home is exhausting, and it is especially hard when you reached out for help and felt dismissed. It makes sense that you would feel on edge.

When we feel surrounded by distressing noises and uncertainty, our thoughts can quickly go to the worst possibilities, which only adds to the fear. We want to gently encourage you to anchor in what you do know and in the care that is steady around you.

It can help to not carry this alone. Is there one trusted person nearby, a neighbor, family member, pastor, or friend, you can talk with when the noises feel overwhelming, so you have another calm presence to share what you are hearing?

If the fear is making it hard to sleep or to feel safe day to day, please consider talking with your doctor or a counselor as well as praying, so you have support for both your spirit and your overall wellbeing. If you ever believe a child or anyone is in immediate danger, please still reach out to your local emergency services. For ongoing concerns that are not immediate, keeping a simple note of date, time and what you heard can help you share clearly if you seek advice again.

Father, we bring our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see their fear and how tired they feel living with this distress. Please give them Your peace, wisdom for each step, and people nearby who will listen and stay with them. Keep them safe and help them sense Your nearness and care today. Amen.

Your burden has been heard and it has been carried before the Lord with much prayer and concern. To live amid sounds of screaming and strife, to hear a child cry out and a voice call for help, and to feel that no help is near, is a trial that would make any heart fearful. We do not take your distress lightly, and we thank you for speaking plainly of what you have heard and felt.

The Word of the Lord speaks to such fearful seasons. The prophet declares that God says, I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. His thoughts toward His people are only peace, for He is at peace with them through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, He seeks their peace and sustains their peace. And again it is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. That perfect peace is not the absence of trouble around us, for strife may rage all around, but it is a restfulness of heart within, when the mind is stayed upon Christ and trust is placed in Him. So we are reminded also of that gracious word which appears so often in Scripture, Fear not, for I am with you, Fear not, for I will help you. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His troubled servants, Fear not.

We will pray for you, that the Lord would quiet your spirit with that peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within, and that He would guard your mind as you keep your thoughts stayed upon Him. We will pray also for those you hear, for the child whose cry has alarmed you, for the man whose voice you heard, and for all who dwell around you on every side, that the Lord who sees all things would stretch out His hand to protect and to deliver, and that His mercy would be made known in that place.

At the same time, love for our neighbour moves us to act with care and wisdom. If you hear cries of help, sounds of violence, or anything that suggests a person, especially a child, may be in danger, it is right to seek help again. Though you have felt dismissed before, keep a careful note of what you hear, with the day and time, and make it known to those appointed to protect, whether police or, where a child may be at risk, the proper child welfare services. If you are in immediate fear for safety, do not hesitate to call for emergency help. Do not bear this alone. Speak to a trusted pastor, a mature believer, or a responsible neighbour who can stand with you, pray with you, and help you to take the next right step. Your will brought to delight in God's will does not mean to be silent when harm may be done, but to do the right thing and leave the result with God.

May the Lord give you wisdom to know how to act, courage to do what is right, and that perfect peace which can exist even when sorrows surge around. We continue to remember you before the throne of grace, asking that He who has taught you from your youth would keep you, help you, and let you know His present help in this dark and troubling place.

Your cry has been heard, and the fear and distress you describe are taken seriously before the Lord. To live hearing screaming and banging and cries for help, and to feel that no one listens when you seek help, is deeply unsettling. It is right to be troubled when you hear what may be harm to a child or to others, and it is right to bring this burden to God in prayer.

God sees what is done in secret and He hears every cry. He is not distant from your fear. Scripture teaches that those who do evil live in restlessness and fear, while those who walk with God, even in a troubled place, can know a steadiness that comes from trusting Him. This does not mean the danger is not real or that your concern is imagined. It means that your anxiety, which can grow greater than the trouble itself and wear down your heart, can be brought to Christ who gives peace and clear mindedness to act wisely. He frees His people from being consumed by fear so they may do what is good and right with a calm and sober spirit.

In such a situation, continue to do what love and wisdom require. If you hear a child screaming or anyone crying for help, or sounds that suggest immediate danger, call for emergency help at once. Even if you have been told before that you are wasting time, keep a simple written record of what you hear, the day and time and what was said or heard, and share it with trusted authorities. If you are concerned for a child, you can also contact local child protective services or a trusted pastor or mature believer who can go with you and help you speak to the proper officials. Do not try to investigate or confront neighbors yourself, and do not carry this alone. Seek the support of your church family and let a pastor or elder know where you live and what you are experiencing so they can pray with you and help you take next steps.

We are praying for you and for those around you. We ask the Lord to protect the child you heard and every person in those homes, to bring to light what needs to be brought to light, and to give wisdom and diligence to those whose duty is to protect. We pray that He will guard your heart from constant fear, grant you peace in your home, and give you courage and clarity each time you must decide what to do. We pray also that He would work in that neighborhood for justice and mercy, that any who do violence would be stopped and brought to repentance, and that all who are vulnerable would be kept safe.

If the fear becomes overwhelming or you feel unsafe, please reach out quickly to a local pastor, a trusted family member or neighbor, and to the proper authorities. You are not forgotten, and your concern for others is not wasted. May the Lord keep you, give you rest at night, and guide every step you take in love for your neighbors.
