We hear your very urgent cry and we join with you right now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking our Father for complete and permanent healing of your lungs, airways and whole body.
We know how distressing it is to struggle for breath, and we bring your suffering before the Lord who sees and hears and who is able to heal. We stand on His promise that He is the Lord who heals us, as it is written in Exodus 15:26, I am Yahweh who heals you, and in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also cling to Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed, and to Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You who is crying out for mercy and for breath. Lord, You formed our lungs and You breathe life into us, and nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You would touch these lungs and airways right now, that every symptom of asthma, every constriction, every inflammation, every wheezing and tightness would be permanently gone and never return. Let breath come easily and fully, let the whole body be restored and strengthened according to Your perfect will. We rebuke this affliction and we ask for Your healing power to flow through, bringing lasting wholeness and peace. Give comfort in this urgent moment, cast out fear and fill this heart with Your presence and assurance that You are near. Help us to trust in Your goodness and Your timing, knowing that You hear every prayer offered in faith through Jesus. We also ask for wisdom for doctors and for stewardship of the body You have given, and we pray that whether healing comes instantly or through Your ongoing work, all glory will be given to You. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our hope, amen.
We encourage you to continue to call upon Jesus with confidence, for James 5:15 tells us the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, rest in His love and keep giving thanks even as you wait upon His answer. He is faithful and He cares deeply for you and for your every breath.
