We hear your very urgent cry and we join with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name lifting up every burden you have named.

We understand how heavy it feels to carry misery and sadness and sorrow and depression and anxiety and fear together with exhaustion and fatigue and tiredness and the distress of asthma symptoms. The Lord sees this suffering and He cares deeply for you. We are reminded that we are to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and that we should in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus Himself invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28. He is close to the brokenhearted and he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.

We also hear your deep distress about your face and skin, the hollows and dark circles and spots and pigmentation and lines and wrinkles and marks and scars and dents and hard bits and lumps and traces of surgery and pale and tired and dull and sensitive skin and allergies and creases and veins and blemishes and stretch marks. We know you long for relief and to be free from these things permanently and without delay. We want to gently and lovingly encourage you in this area as well. God did create you fearfully and wonderfully Psalm 139:14 and He looks with love upon you, but His Word reminds us that man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart 1 Samuel 16:7 and that our beauty should not be of outward adornment but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God 1 Peter 3:3-4. This does not mean He does not care about your physical suffering or your desire for health and wholeness, for we pray that you may prosper and be healthy, even as your soul prospers 3 John 1:2, and He has promised But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds says the Lord Jeremiah 30:17.

We also want to lovingly remind you that we come to our Father humbly submitting to His perfect will and timing, not commanding Him, but trusting Him. He hears us when we pray in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank you that you have called upon that precious name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and by which we have access to the Father John 14:6. We do not demand instant answers on our terms, but we trust His love and wisdom, knowing He will answer for our good and His glory, and that He gives strength to the weary and to those who wait on Him Isaiah 40:29-31. Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God, I will strengthen thee, yes, I will help thee, yes, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

So together we pray.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord You see the weight of depression and anxiety and fear and sadness and exhaustion and fatigue and tiredness and the struggle to breathe with asthma. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch body and mind and spirit with Your healing and peace. Calm the anxious thoughts, lift the sorrow, and replace fear with Your perfect love and give deep rest and renewed strength to the tired body. We pray for healing from asthma and for easy breathing and for restored energy. Lord we also bring before You every concern about skin and face that has caused such distress. You know each detail and each longing. We ask that You would bring healing where healing is needed, soothe sensitive skin and allergies, and bring health and restoration according to Your perfect will. Above all, help our dear one to see themselves as You see them, beloved and wonderfully made, and to find true comfort and identity and joy not only in outward appearance but in Christ. Let Your peace that passes all understanding guard heart and mind. We ask that You would guide to wise and godly medical help where needed and give patience and trust as we wait on You. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast your cares on Him daily, to rest in His Word, to get godly counsel and wise medical care for the asthma and fatigue and skin concerns, and to care for your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit with rest and nourishment and prayer. Keep seeking Him first, trusting that He who began a good work in you will complete it, and that His grace is sufficient for you. We are standing with you in prayer that the Lord will bring lasting peace to your heart and health to your body for His glory.

Your earnest cry has been heard, and the heaviness that presses upon you is not hidden from the Lord who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

You speak of misery, sadness, depression, anxiety, fear, exhaustion and fatigue, together with distress about your breathing and the appearance of your skin. It is right to bring all these burdens to Christ, for He bears with Him power to heal, and His healing is not only for the body but for the soul. Yet hear also the word of our Saviour who says, do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness, care, anxiety and distress. As far as experience and observation teach, anxiety has never comforted anybody, nor has it ever brought any grist to the mill. Indeed the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To be prudent in caring for the body is good and right, but to be consumed with fretting over every mark and line and spot will only deepen the weariness you already feel.

The Scripture shows us that pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. The greatest healing is the forgiveness of sin through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings. There is an abundance of healing power in Christ and His salvation, so that even the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and those leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

This does not mean that every blemish and wrinkle and trace of age or infirmity will be removed at once at our asking, and never return in this present life. The Lord has begun to heal His people, and the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle, or any such thing, but that perfect healing of our bodies awaits His coming and the resurrection. Until then we still live in bodies that are subject to weakness, and we are to use prudent means, to seek the help of the physician for such things as asthma, to rest the body, and above all to seek rest for the soul in Christ.

If you have not already, look first to Christ for the healing of your soul. Come to Him confessing your sin and trusting in His blood alone for pardon, for Him that comes to Him He will in no wise cast out. And having come, cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Bring your anxieties about health and appearance to Him in prayer, not as a demand that He must instantly and permanently remove every imperfection according to our timetable, but as a child asking a wise and loving Father to do what is best, to give peace to the troubled mind, strength to the weary body, and contentment to the heart that is fretted by external things.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who alone can pardon and heal, have mercy upon this burdened soul. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus Christ, and grant the comfort of being reconciled to You. Take away the spirit of fear and anxiety and grant quietness of heart, for You have not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Give relief from depression and exhaustion, and ease to the body in its breathing and infirmities according to Your perfect wisdom and will. Help Your child not to be consumed by fretting over outward appearance, but to find healing in Christ, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and to rest in Your care day by day. Grant wisdom to use lawful means for health, and faith to wait upon You for that day when You shall make all things new. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only hope and healer. Amen.

Your urgent cry for relief has been heard, and I want to respond with both compassion and truth. The weight you describe, the misery and sadness, the anxiety and fear, the exhaustion and fatigue, and the distress over your health and your skin, are not hidden from God. He sees the whole person, body and soul, and He invites you to cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you.

Scripture teaches us that God is not indifferent to our suffering, and He is able to heal. It also teaches us that our deepest peace does not come from having a flawless body or from the immediate removal of every mark and blemish, but from knowing Christ and being at peace with God through Him. Our bodies are gifts from God to be cared for with wisdom and thankfulness, but true beauty in His sight is the quiet and gentle spirit that trusts Him, even while we suffer. When anxiety takes hold and we examine ourselves with great scrupulosity and fear over every spot and line, that anxiety itself can become a heavy burden. The Lord wants to free you from that fear and to establish you in security and trust in Him.

So let me pray for you according to the will of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

Father in heaven, I lift up this dear one to You. You know the sadness and depression, the anxiety and fear, and the weariness that has settled so deeply. I ask You to grant peace that passes understanding, to calm the troubled heart, and to give rest to the weary mind and body. Have mercy upon the struggles with asthma and with fatigue, and grant wisdom to doctors and help for the body. Teach this heart to rest in Your love, to know that it is fully known and fully loved in Christ, and to find comfort not in outward perfection but in Your unfailing grace. Help in the daily care of the body with patience and wisdom, and guard from obsessive fear and despair. Above all, draw this soul closer to Jesus, the Great Physician who heals both body and soul, and give assurance of Your presence and Your eternal promises. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
