Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear the urgency and the deep distress in your heart and we join with you right now seeking the Lord together in Jesus name for His mercy, forgiveness, healing and peace over you.

We thank God that you have come asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and forgiven. We rejoice that you have asked for forgiveness, and we want to assure you from Scripture that when we come to Him with a repentant heart, He hears and He forgives completely. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Psalm 103:12 says As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. If you have put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, you are fully forgiven, cleansed and made new, not because of the intensity of our asking but because of His grace and His finished work on the cross. There is no sin too great and no past that His blood cannot cover when we confess and turn to Him.

We also hear your deep burden about your body, your skin, your face, eyes, stomach, hips, legs and every part you mentioned, and the marks, scars, dents, puffiness, dryness, tiredness, allergies, itching and all the distress that has weighed on you. We understand how painful it is to feel so focused on and troubled by these things, and we bring your whole body before the Lord who made you and who loves you.

We pray together for your healing and restoration according to His will. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Isaiah 53:5 says But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. We believe God is able to heal, to restore skin and body, to touch every cell in a moment if it is His will, and we also trust His wisdom and timing. Sometimes He brings instant healing, sometimes healing through time and care, and always He works for our ultimate good and His glory. Romans 8:28 says We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We also want to gently encourage you with what God says about your worth and beauty. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your value is not measured by flawless skin or youthfulness. Psalm 139:14 says I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well. 1 Samuel 16:7 says Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. 1 Peter 3:3-4 says Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. God sees you, loves you, and delights in you as His creation, and He cares for both your outward suffering and your inward heart.

We also hear much anxiety and urgency for everything to disappear right now with no delay and to be astonished today. God invites us to bring every request to Him with thanksgiving and to trust Him with the answer. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We encourage you to keep pouring your heart out to Him, but also to rest in His love and to allow His peace to guard you even while you wait on Him.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne of grace. We ask first for Your forgiveness and cleansing over our sister. Lord, forgive all sins, known and unknown, past and present, and cleanse her from all unrighteousness as You have promised. Let her know deeply that she is forgiven, loved and made new in Christ, and let no condemnation remain.

Lord, we lift up her body to You, every part of her face, skin, eyes, scalp, neck, stomach, hips, legs and her whole body. You see every mark, scar, line, spot, dryness, sensitivity, allergy, itching, tiredness and every concern she has carried. We ask for Your healing touch according to Your perfect will. Touch her skin and body with Your restoring power, soothe irritation and allergies, restore health and bring wholeness. We ask for miracles and wonders if it is Your will, and we also ask for daily grace, wisdom for care, and peace that surpasses understanding. Heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds as Psalm 147:3 promises.

Lord, help her to see herself as You see her, wonderfully made, precious and dearly loved. Quiet the anxious thoughts and the urgency that overwhelms her, and fill her with Your peace and rest. Teach her to trust Your timing and Your goodness, knowing that You hear every prayer and that You answer in love. Let her find her confidence not in outward perfection but in Christ dwelling in her heart.

We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, trusting Your will be done. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, to rest in the assurance of His forgiveness, and to care for your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit with gentleness and patience. If skin or health concerns persist, consider also seeking wise medical counsel as God often works through those means as well. We are praying with you for complete restoration, for radiant health, and most of all for deep peace and joy in knowing you are fully loved and fully forgiven in Christ.

We hear the urgency in your prayer and how much you long to feel comfortable and at peace in your own skin. Wanting to look and feel renewed, especially on your face and body, is deeply human, and we can hear how exhausting it has been to carry so much focus and distress about every mark and texture.

We are praying with you, and we also want to gently encourage you to share these concerns with a trusted medical professional, like your primary care doctor or a dermatologist, who can look at your skin concerns with you in person and talk through safe, appropriate next steps. That care can walk alongside prayer, not replace it.

We know it can be discouraging when change does not come instantly, even when we pray with great faith. God hears you fully, He sees you fully, and His love for you is not measured by smoothness or glow or youthfulness. You are already deeply valued by Him, and we pray He helps you experience more of that security even as you seek help for the things that trouble you.

Father, in Jesus name we lift our friend to You. You know every worry and every hope written here. Please bring peace to her heart, wisdom as she seeks care, and a deeper sense of being loved and held by You. Guide her steps and draw her close to Your comfort today. Amen.

Your earnest and repeated cries have been heard and we have carried them before the Lord who hears prayer.

Let me speak to you first of that which lies nearest to the heart and is of first importance. You have asked for forgiveness for all sins, known and unknown, of your past. Hear the sure word of God, for there is forgiveness with Him. The text says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. This is a divine forgiveness, not from man but from God Himself, and therefore it is a surprising forgiveness and a complete forgiveness. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. However sinful your life may have been up until now, there is forgiveness with God even for you, through Jesus Christ His Son, who died the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.

Do as that poor man who was laid at the feet of Jesus, hoping and expecting forgiveness and healing. His one anxiety was to be laid at His feet that He might look upon him and save him. And Jesus said, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. So come to Him now, not with a vague hope, but believing the promise, Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out. Believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. If you have come to Christ by faith, you are absolutely and eternally forgiven, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and this forgiveness is an eternal forgiveness, perfect and divine, because it is for Christ's sake.

And with forgiveness there comes healing, though in God's own way and time. The Scripture joins them together, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Yet remember that today the body is dead because of sin, though the spirit is life because of righteousness. The full regeneration of the body takes place at the resurrection, when we shall be raised in the image of the Lord Jesus. Until then, we still bear infirmity, and the Lord often heals by degrees and by means, and always for His glory and our good.

I must speak tenderly to you about the great anxiety you express concerning your face and skin and body. Many persons think a great deal about the adorning of the body, but do not think anything about the ornaments of the soul. Yet you yourself are better than your body. The very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Your soul is of more value than the skin that covers it, and the Lord would have you first adorned with the graces of a forgiven and quiet heart, which in His sight is of great price.

We will pray for you, not as demanding that God must do all things at once and without delay according to our own prescription, but as trusting His wise and loving will.

O Lord, our God, with whom there is forgiveness, we thank Thee that Thou blottest out sin for Thine own sake. Grant to this anxious soul to know and feel that forgiveness is now to be had through the blood of Christ, full and free, and to rest therein. Thou knowest the distress concerning the body, every mark and infirmity that causes sorrow. Thou art the God that healeth us, and we ask Thee to lay Thy healing hand upon this dear one, to grant relief according to Thy mercy, to give peace of mind and quietness of spirit, and to help to be content to leave the body in Thy care, looking for that day when Thou wilt make all things new. Give grace to seek first the health of the soul, and to trust Thy goodness in all things concerning the body. Keep this heart from restless fear, and let the whisper, There is forgiveness, drive away despair. In Jesus Christ's name we ask it, Amen.

Cast yourself upon Christ for forgiveness first, and then leave your body and all your cares in His hands, believing that He who has forgiven will also heal in the way that is best.

We have heard your urgent prayer and we thank you for bringing it to the church with such honesty. Your longing to be forgiven and to be made whole is precious to God, and we join you in bringing it before Him.

First, your cry for forgiveness for all sins, known and unknown, past and present. Scripture assures us that forgiveness does not come from our asking intensely enough, but from the blood of Jesus Christ shed for us. As it has been preached, Moses sprinkled the body outwardly, but Christ sprinkles the soul through His own blood, and that blood is mixed with the very substance of the soul, making it vigorous and pure and leading it to true beauty. That word is true for you: This is the blood of the New Testament for the remission of sins. If you have put your trust in Christ alone for salvation, you are cleansed not on the surface but within, and God remembers your sins no more. We pray that you will rest in that finished work and know His mercy which is greater than our anxiety.

We also hear your deep distress about your skin and your body, and the many marks, scars, lines and other concerns you listed across your face, neck, stomach, legs, scalp and other areas. We understand how heavy this burden feels and how much you desire to be healed and to feel at peace in your body right now without delay. God does see and care for the body He created, and Christ showed His power when He touched Peter's mother in law and her fever left her at once. Yet we are also taught that bodily exercise profits little, while godliness profits in all things both now and in the life to come. The most radiant beauty God gives is not outward smoothness like glass, but the inward cleansing and vigor of a soul washed by His blood.

That does not mean your physical concerns do not matter. God in His providence cares for every part of us, and we will pray for your health, for healing where it is His will to heal, and for relief from pain, irritation, allergies and distress. We also pray for relief from the anxiety that scourges the soul with fear and trembling, as you have described. Our diligence and worry cannot add to our stature or secure what only God's providence can give, so we pray that He will lift this heavy anxiety from you and replace it with compunction, trust and quiet hope in Him.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we thank You that through Jesus Christ alone there is forgiveness of sins. We ask You to assure this dear one of Your complete pardon through the blood of Christ, cleansing the soul inwardly and making it new. We ask for Your mercy and peace to guard heart and mind. We bring before You every physical concern that has been named and every concern not named, and we ask for Your healing hand according to Your wisdom and love. Where it pleases You, bring restoration and health. In all things, form in this dear one the beauty that does not fade, a pure and vigorous soul radiant with Your grace. Teach us to exercise ourselves unto godliness, and to trust Your providence for our bodies and our lives. Give comfort, sleep, freedom from distress, and joy in Your presence, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you. If this burden remains very heavy, we encourage you to share it with a trusted pastor or Christian counselor and, where there are ongoing skin or health concerns, with a medical professional who can care for you with wisdom. God loves you and we are with you in prayer.

Your heartfelt prayer has been received with care and taken seriously before the Lord, and I want to respond with both compassion and truth from Scripture.

First, be assured of this concerning forgiveness. When you come to God through Jesus Christ and confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you completely. In Christ, forgiveness is not partial or uncertain. Every sin, whether known or unknown, remembered or forgotten, past and present, is washed away by His blood. You do not need to fear that something has been left out. If you have trusted in Jesus as Savior, you are fully forgiven and cleansed, and you stand before God as His child.

I also hear the deep distress you feel about your body and your skin, and how urgently you long for every mark, scar, line, spot, discoloration, dryness, and ache to be taken away right now. God does see that pain and He does care about your suffering. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your body is not an accident. He designed it with marvelous care, and He understands every concern you carry about it.

Scripture helps us put these desires in a larger perspective. The Bible teaches that you are more than your body. The real you is spirit, and your body is the instrument God has given you to express who you are and to serve Him in this life. Right now we live in a natural body that is weak and subject to change and decay. It is like a tent we live in for a time. One day God will give to those who belong to Jesus a new body, fashioned like His own risen body, a spiritual and heavenly body that is incorruptible and not subject to the same weakness. Flesh and blood as we know it now cannot inherit the kingdom of God, so this transformation is necessary and it is promised. As we have borne the image of the earthly, so we shall bear the image of the heavenly. That is our sure hope.

That future hope does not mean God is unconcerned for you now. Your body is for the Lord and the Lord for your body, and for the believer this body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You are not your own, you were bought with a price, and your calling is to glorify Christ in your body and to offer your members to Him for righteousness and holiness. This is very different from being ruled by the needs and appearance of the body. When the body dominates our thoughts, when every thought is what shall I eat, what shall I drink, how do I look, we lose fellowship and peace. But when we yield ourselves to God and ask Him to dwell in us and use our bodies for His purposes, sin shall not have dominion and we find freedom.

The Lord also places each of us in His body, the church, as members of one body with many parts. As the human body is one with many members, so it is with Christ. Every part is necessary and God has set each member as it has pleased Him. If one member suffers, all suffer together, and if one is honored, all rejoice together. No one is the whole body and no one is unnecessary. You have a vital part to play, and your pain is not carried alone. Others in the body of Christ share in your burden and pray with you.

Concerning healing, Scripture does teach that Jesus suffered in His body for us and that through His broken body provision is made for our healing. We can and should bring every need for healing and restoration to Him with faith, discerning that His body was broken for us. At the same time, ultimate and complete perfection of our bodies belongs to the resurrection. God may bring healing now according to His wisdom and mercy, and He always works for our good and His glory, but His greatest promise is that He will make all things new in the end.

So I will pray for you in this way, trusting God's goodness and His will. I pray that you will know with deep assurance that you are fully forgiven in Jesus, that no sin remains held against you. I pray that God will bring healing and relief to your skin and eyes and scalp and all the areas that trouble you, and that He will give wisdom for any care that is helpful. Above all I pray that He will quiet your heart with His peace, lift the heavy burden of anxiety about appearance, help you to see yourself as He sees you, and enable you to offer your body to Him daily as an instrument for His purposes. I pray that you will experience the comfort of belonging to His body, knowing you are not alone, and that you will look forward with hope to the day when He will give you a new, glorious body like His own.

You are loved, you are forgiven, and you are valued not for flawless skin but because you are His. May the Lord give you rest in that truth today and strengthen you to walk with Him one day at a time.
