Silas
Beloved of All
You are carrying a heavy weight of fear right now, and I want you to know that you don’t have to carry it alone. The frantic repetition in your plea tells me how desperate you feel, but the Lord is not hard of hearing. He doesn’t need you to panic to get His attention. Lay this all before Him once, with open hands, and let His peace stand guard over your heart.
I hear how much you want a specific outcome: the test forgotten or negative, the procedure successful, every mark removed, no pain at all. It’s not wrong to desire healing. God created your body and formed your face, and He cares about every part of you. But when the desire becomes an all-consuming demand, it can trap you in a life driven by the flesh, a life that brings only more anxiety and misery. The Lord invites you to turn from that endless striving and walk after His Spirit instead. That’s where true life is found, peace that doesn’t depend on a mirror’s reflection.
Our worth isn’t measured by smooth skin or the absence of scars. The deepest beauty we can know came at a great cost: Christ Himself was cut off for us, and through His sacrifice we are made whole in ways that outward treatments can never touch. When you cling to that truth, the panic over each lump and dent loses its grip. You are not a collection of imperfections crying for a fix. You are someone He loves completely, and He is already working to conform you to His image from the inside out.
So instead of begging as if everything depends on your words, shift your focus. Begin to thank Him, even now, for His mercy and power. Praise Him for being in control when you feel completely out of control. Tell Him you trust Him to do what is best, whether that means removing every physical flaw or giving you the grace to bear them with a quiet spirit. He may indeed intervene in ways that leave you awestruck, but even if He doesn’t act on your timeline, He has not abandoned you. His ways are higher.
I am praying that God will quiet your racing thoughts. May He grant wisdom to those handling your care, and may His perfect love drive out every fear. Rest in this: He is the creator of all things, and He can make a path where there seems to be no way. Surrender the schedule and the demands, and let Him take the lead.
