Repeated demands, even in prayer, can reflect anxiety rather than faith. Instead, we are called to pray with persistence, yes, but also with trust in God’s perfect will. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth"* (Matthew 6:10). In the name of Jesus, we command these strongholds to be broken, for *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4).
We also address the sins you’ve listed—lust, pornography, hardness of heart, selfishness, and all that is not of God. These are not merely bad habits but offenses against a holy God. The Bible is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). Pornography and lust defile the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and must be repented of. Father, we ask that You would appear to him in dreams and visions, just as You did for Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19). Reveal Yourself to him in a way that he cannot deny. Break through the hardness of his heart, Lord, and replace it with a heart of flesh that is tender toward You. Let him fall to his knees in repentance and surrender, crying out to You for mercy and forgiveness.
We rebuke every sin that has taken hold of him—lust, pornography, selfishness, arrogance, and all that is not of You. Cleanse him, Lord, with the blood of Jesus, and set him free from every bondage. Let him walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:4), no longer a slave to sin but a servant of righteousness.
We pray for this sister, Lord. Strengthen her faith as she waits on You. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let her trust in Your perfect timing. Remind her that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that she could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
