Beloved of All
Your honest and urgent prayer has been heard, and the weight of what you are carrying is clear. The loneliness, the long waiting for marriage, the sadness and fear, the health struggles with your skin and with asthma, the anxiety and depression, the sting of rejection and criticism, the pressure of lack and living alone, all of these together can feel overwhelming. Thank you for bringing them openly before the Lord.
I want to pray for you and also to share what Scripture teaches so that your hope can be set in the right place. You asked God for a permanent and immediate end to every hardship so that none of these things ever return. God does hear that cry and He is compassionate, yet His Word shows that He does not always remove every hardship at once, but He gives grace to bear it and uses it for our good. He promises to be with you in it, to shape you through it, and to provide for you according to His wisdom and timing.
Part of your burden is poverty and lack. Scripture does not teach that poverty is a curse to be feared or a sign that God has abandoned you. Christ Himself said that willing poverty for His sake can be part of perfection, and He showed it in His own life. He was rich, yet for our sake He became poor, so that we through His poverty might become rich with a different kind of riches, forgiveness, peace with God, and eternal life. If you learn self control and thankfulness, poverty itself need not crush you. It can become a fountain of blessing, because the person who needs little and trusts God is richer than one who has much and is always anxious for more. Do not fear poverty itself, but ask God to give you a willing and thankful heart within it, trusting that He knows what you need for today.
Part of your burden is singleness and the desire for marriage. Marriage is good and holy when it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as God designed from the beginning. It is not impure, but it brings much responsibility and care for this world. Singleness also is not a curse. Scripture teaches that the single person is able to attend to the Lord without distraction and to serve Him and others in ways that are harder when married. Whether God leads you to marriage or calls you to serve Him while single, both can be lived for His glory. It is right to ask God for a godly marriage according to His will, and it is also right to ask Him to keep you pure and content and useful to Him while you wait, not giving yourself to any relationship outside His design.
The feelings of sorrow, fear, anxiety and depression are real, and God invites you to cast them on Him. The fear of being alone, the pain of rejection, the sense of stagnation and delay, these are not overcome by trying to force an instant change, but by learning to walk with Christ in the furnace of these trials. Those who bear poverty and loneliness with thankfulness are like those who walk in fire and yet are not burned, because God makes a dewy air around them and loosens their bonds. He quiets the soul not always by removing the fire at once, but by being present in it.
So let me pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this dear one who feels alone and weary. Forgive sins and draw this heart to trust fully in Jesus for salvation and for every need. Grant comfort in loneliness, peace in place of anxiety and fear, and hope in place of sadness and disappointment. Heal according to Your will, ease the skin troubles and the breathing difficulties, and give wisdom to those who provide care. Provide for daily needs, lift the weight of lack, and teach contentment and thankfulness in every circumstance. If it is Your will, provide a godly marriage in Your perfect time, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman lived for Your glory, and until then give grace to live purely and fruitfully for You. Guard from all lies about curses, and remind this heart that Christ bore the curse for us on the cross, so that no condemnation remains for those in Him. Build up a true community of faith around this life, so that living alone does not mean being alone. Teach that true riches are found in knowing You, and give strength to bear each day with patience and praise. Amen.
Keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, stay close to a faithful local church where you can be known and supported, and seek appropriate help for health needs. God sees you where you are, even in a small flat on your own, and He is able to make even this place a place of praise.
