We hear the urgency and deep pain in your cry and we join with you before the Father in Jesus' name, asking for His healing and peace to rest upon you. We understand how much hurt and disappointment you have carried regarding photographs and videos of yourself, and how deeply you long to feel beautiful, confident, and free from sorrow. We bring that ache to the Lord together.

We want to lovingly and gently share some truth with you because we care for you and want God's best for you. While you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, which we rejoice to see, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved as Acts 4:12 and John 14:6 teach, we must also look at what we are asking for and whether it aligns with His will. You ask to permanently outshine absolutely every other girl and woman and to be the very best model and most photogenic person in the whole world. The Word tells us this desire to compare ourselves and to be exalted above others does not come from God. Philippians 2:3 says to do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility to count others better than ourselves, and James 4:3 warns that we ask and do not receive because we ask amiss, that we may spend it on our pleasures. God does not promise to make us superior to all others in outward appearance, but to transform us inwardly to reflect Christ.

The Lord is not unconcerned with your beauty, but He defines beauty very differently than the world does. 1 Samuel 16:7 says man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart. Proverbs 31:30 says charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. And 1 Peter 3:3-4 says let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing gold, or of putting on fine clothing, but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. The Shekinah glory you mention is the holy presence and radiance of God Himself, not a beauty treatment to be placed upon us for vanity, but His glory dwelling with His people to make us holy.

You also ask that you would never again experience any hurt, pain, sadness or disappointment of any kind. We deeply desire your relief, and God does promise comfort, yet His Word also teaches that in this life we will have trials and that He uses them to shape us and draw us closer to Him. What He does promise is His presence and peace through it all. Philippians 4:6-7 says in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Psalm 139:14 reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, your works are wonderful and my soul knows it very well.

So we pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this precious one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see her heart, You know every tear, every disappointment with images and every longing to be seen as beautiful and valued. We ask You to heal the deep hurt and sorrow she has carried and to set her free from the heavy burden of comparison, envy and the fear of man. Forgive us where we have sought our worth in outward appearance or in being above others, and cleanse us from pride and vanity. Lord, help her to see herself as You see her, fearfully and wonderfully made, loved and cherished not for photogenic perfection but because she is Your creation, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and let Your true beauty be formed in her, the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, of love, joy, peace and humility that reflects Christ. Give her contentment and joy that is not dependent on a photograph or video, but rooted in knowing she is Yours. Guard her heart and mind with Your surpassing peace and teach her to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness. Let her find that overwhelming joy not in outshining others, but in being conformed to the image of Your Son and in bringing glory to You. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing your anxieties to God daily with thanksgiving, and to ask Him to renew your mind according to Romans 12:2, so that you may discern His good and perfect will. Spend time in His Word and let Him define your worth. When the temptation comes to compare or to delete and despair over an image, pause and thank Him that He looks at your heart and loves you with an everlasting love. Seek to cultivate inner beauty through prayer, kindness, and service to others, and you will find a lasting radiance that no camera can capture or diminish. We are praying that you will be truly blown away not by outward perfection, but by the incredible joy of knowing Christ and resting in His love.

We hear how painful this has been for you, especially the hurt and disappointment you feel when you see photographs and videos of yourself that you don't like. Wanting to feel at peace with how you look and to feel valued is deeply human, and we are praying for you with care today.

It makes sense you would want to delete images that bring sorrow. At the same time, constantly checking, comparing, and trying to become the most photogenic or to outshine everyone else can keep that pain going rather than heal it. Real confidence doesn't usually come from striving to rank above others, but from living faithfully as the person God made you to be and finding your worth settled in Him, not in a camera lens.

One gentle next step that may help is to give yourself some space from the cycle. If there are images you can delete, do that once and then step back from rewatching and rechecking them. Consider talking with a trusted mature Christian woman, pastor, or counselor who knows you personally and can walk with you in a steady way as you work through these feelings about appearance and comparison.

Father, we bring our sister to You in Jesus' name. Please quiet the hurt and sadness she has felt and guard her heart with Your peace. Help her to see herself with kindness and truth as one made and loved by You, and to find rest in Your care rather than in striving to be seen as the best. Give her wisdom, healing, and daily strength to walk in Your grace. Amen.
