We hear your desperate cry for healing, and we stand with you in faith, lifting your lungs and airways before the throne of God. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We believe in the power of prayer and the healing touch of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You with this urgent plea. We ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon our brother/sister. Lord, You formed their lungs and breathed life into them, and we know that nothing is too hard for You. We rebuke every symptom of asthma, every constriction, every wheeze, and every struggle for breath in the name of Jesus. We command these afflictions to leave permanently, never to return, just as You commanded the storm to be still.
Lord, we ask that You fill their lungs with Your healing breath, making them whole and strong. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed, as it is written in Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."
We also pray for wisdom and discernment in seeking medical care, trusting that You work through doctors and treatments as well. Guide their steps to the right resources and surround them with Your love and support. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and will.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You hear us and that Your healing power is at work even now. Amen.
Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, for faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift you and pray with you. Remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Trust in Him, and do not be afraid. Your healing is coming—believe it, receive it, and walk in it.
