We hear the urgency and the deep pain in your cry and we join with you in bringing this great suffering before the Lord, for He sees every wrong and every wound that has been caused to you and to many others.

We understand your desire for justice and for protection of other patients, and the Lord Himself loves justice and hates oppression. Yet we must also gently correct the spirit of this request where it asks for shame and personal vengeance without delay. Scripture teaches us that vengeance belongs to the Lord alone and that our hearts must not be consumed by hatred, even when we have been deeply wronged. It is right to pray for truth to be revealed and for the innocent to be protected, but we are called to leave punishment in God's hands and to pray even for those who have harmed us that they would be brought to conviction and repentance.

For it is written, Vengeance is mine, and recompense, in due time, when their foot slides, for the day of their calamity is at hand. That is in Romans 12:19 where it says, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And again our Lord says in Matthew 5:44, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Yahweh is a God who does justice, as Psalm 103:6 says, Yahweh executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed. And Psalm 37:28 reminds us, For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn't forsake his saints.

We also hear that you prayed in Jesus' name and we affirm with you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and by which our prayers are heard, as Acts 4:12 and John 14:6 teach us.

So we pray together now for God's perfect will to be done.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is hurting so deeply. You see the suffering that has been endured and You are near to those who have a broken heart, as Psalm 34:18 says, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We ask You to bring healing and comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask for Your justice to prevail according to Your righteousness. If wrongdoing has been done by this man, we pray that You would bring the truth into the light, that no more patients would be harmed, and that those in rightful authority would act with wisdom and integrity, for governing authorities are appointed by You to execute justice as Romans 13:1-4 shows. We pray not out of hatred but that You would mightily convict this man of any wrong, leading him to repentance and to a turning from any harmful ways, for You desire that all should come to repentance as 2 Peter 3:9 says. Let Your will be done regarding his license and his position, not our desire for shame, but Your holy and perfect judgment which is always right. Protect the vulnerable, heal those who have suffered, and guard this one's heart from bitterness, helping to forgive as You have forgiven us, while still seeking what is right and true. We ask for wisdom to take lawful and proper steps to report concerns through the right channels so that truth may be established by witnesses and evidence. Bring restoration where there has been harm and let Your name be glorified through justice tempered with mercy. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to pursue godly counsel and the proper legal and medical oversight channels to ensure that any misconduct is properly investigated. Trust that the Lord is your defender and He will not forsake those who seek Him. We pray that He will heal your heart, give you peace as you wait on His timing, and bring about His justice in His perfect way.

We are praying with you for healing for what you have been through, and for wisdom for everyone involved in seeking what is right. God cares about justice and He also cares about your heart and your health as you carry this burden.

A couple of steady next steps that have helped others in a painful medical situation like this:

If you have not already, consider writing down what happened in clear, factual detail with dates, and sharing it through the proper channels, a patient advocate at the hospital or clinic, and the medical board that oversees licensing in your area. They are set up to review concerns about patient harm carefully and to protect others if needed. Having a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor walk with you as you do that can make it less overwhelming.

And please keep getting care for your own health with a provider you feel safe with. If the distress is weighing on you daily, talking with a counselor or pastor alongside prayer can be a real support.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift up this dear one to You. You see the pain that has been caused and You know every detail. We ask for healing and peace, for wisdom and strength for each next step, and that what is true would come to light in the right way so patients are cared for safely. Lead and comfort them in the days ahead. Amen.

Your urgent and anguished cry has come before the Lord, and He who sees every sorrow and hears every sigh knows the suffering you have endured and the wrong you feel has been done to you and to many others. It is right to bring your pain honestly before Him, for He is a God of perfect justice as well as perfect mercy, and no affliction escapes His eye.

In seasons of deep hurt the heart longs for immediate vindication, for punishment to fall and for shame to be poured out upon the one who has caused the wound. The Word of God teaches us that vengeance belongs unto the Lord, and He will repay. It is not for us to dictate to Him the manner or the moment of His judgment, but to commit our cause into His righteous hands and to trust Him to do what is right. To trust is better than to be afraid, and he who truly trusts is not afraid, for he knows that the Judge of all the earth will do right, and that where God begins a work He does not ask us to finish, but He Himself will complete it in His own time and way.

You have asked that God would act without delay to convict and to stop further harm. It is lawful and good to pray that truth would be uncovered, that the suffering of patients would cease, that those in authority would act with wisdom, and that if sin has been done it would be brought to light so that others are protected. Pray also, as Christ has taught us, that the one who has done wrong might be brought to see his need, to mourn for his sin as one mourns for an only son, and to be led to repentance. For that bitterness which the Spirit works in a soul when it sees the cross is a bitterness that makes Christ very sweet, and one effect of that true bitterness upon the soul is to take away all bitterness against our fellow men.

Remember also what the Lord delights to declare concerning Himself, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake. There is forgiveness with Him, and that forgiveness is divine, surprising, complete and everlasting. It is not a cheap faith to take Christ as the saints Savior, but it is the faith of Gods elect to take Him as the sinners Savior. If you tremble and shake for fear and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness, hear this blessed whisper which breaks the gates of brass, There is forgiveness. There is forgiveness with Thee. Though you think there is none, your thoughts are not as Gods thoughts, neither are your ways as His ways. If God demands the penalty in justice, He Himself supplies it in love through the blood of Jesus Christ, and He not only forgave at the first, but continues daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is continuous and eternal to all who trust in Him.

Let your prayer then be shaped by that mercy which you yourself have received. For we have in Him a full forgiveness, and some of us have had so much manifest forgiveness, so much outward sin forgiven, that for us to forgive ought to be as natural as to open our hands. This does not mean that wrong is not to be addressed, or that lawful and proper means of accountability should be neglected. If you believe patients are being harmed, it is right to seek the counsel of godly and wise persons and to make use of the proper and lawful channels that God has ordained for the protection of others, doing all things truthfully and without malice, and leaving the final judgment to Him.

We will pray with you now, not that God would be moved by bitterness or haste, but that He would be glorified in justice and in mercy.

O Lord, Thou knowest the pain that has been endured and Thou seest every patient who suffers. We ask Thee to bring truth to light and to restrain all evil and negligence. Grant wisdom to those who bear responsibility to judge these matters, that they may act justly and protect the vulnerable. Work conviction where conviction is needed, and grant repentance and faith where sin is found, that the offender might seek Thy forgiveness which is freely given through Jesus Christ Thy Son. Heal the wounded heart that cries to Thee, take away fear and give trusting faith, and let the bitterness of this trial make Christ more precious and sweet. Help Thy child to rest in Thy promise that there is forgiveness with Thee, and to know that Thou wilt complete the work Thou hast begun. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. Amen.

Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you. Seek Him as the sinners Savior, trust His blood alone, and you shall find that He gives forgiveness now, in a moment, and that His peace will keep your heart as you wait upon Him.

Your cry of pain has been heard, and I understand how deeply you have been hurt and how urgent this feels when you believe many others have suffered as well. God sees every wrong and knows the full weight of what you have endured, and He does not overlook injustice.

At the same time, the way this prayer is asked needs to be gently reshaped before God. Scripture teaches that vengeance belongs to the Lord and that His judgment is righteous and will be revealed in its proper time. When we ask God to shame and punish a person on our terms and without delay, we place ourselves on the judgment seat, and as Christ teaches, the measure we use for others will be the measure used for us. We have all come to God needing forgiveness for much greater debts than others owe us, and we are called to have a gentle and human soul, even toward those who have wronged us.

There is also a danger for your own heart here. A desire for immediate punishment can become a root of bitterness, and a root of bitterness does not bear sweet fruit. It fills the heart with hatred and keeps the wound open. God in His lovingkindness often delays judgment not because He approves of wrong, but to give space for truth to come to light and for repentance to happen. He did all that is fitting, He gives wisdom to discern good and evil, and He will bring every deed into His righteous judgment. Our words matter before Him as well, for by our words we will be judged, so we must guard against speaking evil even when we have been truly wronged.

So this is how we will pray with you and for you.

We will pray that God, who is just and merciful, will bring the truth into the light and that those in rightful authority will see clearly and act justly to protect patients and prevent further harm. We will pray that if wrong has been done, the one responsible will be brought to conviction and repentance, and that he will turn from any harmful ways. We will pray for your healing, for peace in place of torment, and for God to guard your heart from bitterness and to help you forgive as you have been forgiven in Christ, which does not mean that wrong has no consequences, but that you entrust justice to God and to the proper lawful process. We will pray that you receive wisdom, support, and counsel as you consider right and lawful steps to report what has happened through the appropriate medical and legal channels, and that God will give you strength and comfort in the days ahead.

May the Lord grant you rest from this burden, lead you in gentleness and truth, and let His righteous will be done both in your life and in this situation.
