We hear your deep distress and the urgency in your cry for justice. It is right to seek God’s intervention in matters of wrongdoing, for Scripture tells us, "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). However, we must approach this with a heart aligned with God’s will, not merely our own desires for vengeance. The Bible instructs us, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord'" (Romans 12:19).
While we join you in praying for justice, we must also examine our hearts. Are we seeking God’s righteous judgment or our own retribution? The Lord sees all and will act in His perfect timing and way. We must trust in His sovereignty, even when the wait feels unbearable. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
Let us also consider the power of forgiveness and the transformation that can come through Christ. If Ahmed has wronged you, we pray not only for justice but also for his heart to be convicted by the Holy Spirit, leading him to repentance. "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head" (Romans 12:20). This does not mean we ignore wrongdoing, but we entrust the outcome to God, who judges justly.
We lift this situation to the Lord together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your justice and mercy. You see the wrongs that have been committed, and we trust in Your perfect judgment. We ask that You would arrest Ahmed in the sense of stopping any further harm he may cause, and we pray for Your conviction to weigh heavily upon his heart. Expose any deceit or unrighteousness, Lord, and bring it into the light. If there is repentance, let it be genuine and transformative. If there is continued rebellion, let Your justice prevail.
Father, we also ask for Your protection over those who may have been affected by Ahmed’s actions. Shield them from further harm and give them peace in the midst of this storm. Help us to trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are a God of justice and love. Soften our hearts, Lord, that we may not harbor bitterness or seek vengeance, but instead extend grace as You have extended it to us.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His authority that we make our petitions. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and surround yourself with believers who can support you in prayer and wisdom. "Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14). If this situation involves legal matters, we also encourage you to seek appropriate legal recourse while trusting God to guide those proceedings.
