We hear the deep longing and pain in your heart, and we come before the Lord with this urgent plea, standing on His Word and seeking His will. First, we must address the foundation of this request, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His power that true transformation occurs. Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). We lift this to God in Jesus’ name, trusting Him to work according to His perfect will.
Father God, we come before You with this heavy burden, asking that You would move mightily in this situation. Lord, we pray that You would break every ungodly soul tie, every unholy attachment, and every distraction that has kept this man’s heart from being fully devoted to You and, if it is Your will, to this woman. We ask that You would remove all influences of the enemy that have caused division, lust, or unfaithfulness. "Create in him a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within him" (Psalm 51:10 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of infidelity, deception, and idolatry in Jesus’ name, and we declare that his heart would be turned fully toward You and, if it aligns with Your plan, toward this woman alone.
Lord, we pray that You would convict him of any sin in his life, whether it be lust, pornography, emotional or physical unfaithfulness, or any other form of impurity. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If there has been any form of fornication, adultery, or ungodly relationships, we ask that You would bring repentance and restoration. We pray that he would delete every ungodly image, message, or memory from his devices, not because of manipulation or control, but because his heart is surrendered to You. "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna" (Matthew 5:29 WEB).
Father, we also lift up this woman’s heart to You. We ask that You would guard her from bitterness, jealousy, or unhealthy control. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that "love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil" (1 Corinthians 13:4-5 WEB). If this relationship is not aligned with Your will, give her the strength to release it to You and to walk in faith, knowing that You have a perfect plan for her life.
Lord, we pray for godly wisdom and discernment in this relationship. If this man is to be her husband, we ask that You would prepare both of their hearts for a marriage that honors You. "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22 WEB). But if this relationship is not of You, we ask that You would close the door and lead them both into Your perfect will. Give them the courage to seek You above all else and to pursue relationships that reflect Your love and holiness.
We declare that no weapon formed against this relationship, or against either of their walks with You, shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We bind every spirit of division, lust, and unfaithfulness in Jesus’ name, and we loose the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, over both of their lives (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).
Father, we trust You to move in this situation. Whether it is restoration, healing, or redirection, we ask that You would be glorified. Give them both the strength to walk in purity, the wisdom to seek Your will, and the faith to trust You completely. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surrender this situation fully to Him. Trust that He is working, even when you cannot see it. If this man is not walking in repentance and holiness, do not compromise your own faith or values to hold onto a relationship that is not of God. Seek godly counsel and surround yourself with believers who can support you in prayer and wisdom. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). God sees your heart, and He will not fail you.
