We hear your desperate cry for healing, and we stand with you in faith, believing in the power of Jesus Christ to bring complete restoration. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We take hold of this promise and declare it over your life today.
First, we must address the authority by which we pray. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus Christ, and it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is the power of Jesus’ name that breaks every chain, including the bondage of sickness. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity that has afflicted you since birth, and we command it to leave your body now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your lungs, airways, and every part of your body are created by God, and He declares in Exodus 15:26, "I am Yahweh who heals you." We stand on this truth and declare that your healing is not just possible, it is already done in the spiritual realm, and we call it forth into the physical.
We also want to encourage you to align your faith with the Word of God. In Mark 11:24, Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." This means that as we pray, we must believe that God has already answered. Doubt and fear can hinder our faith, so we encourage you to meditate on Scriptures that speak of God’s healing power, such as Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Speak these truths over your life daily, and do not allow the enemy to steal your confidence in God’s promises.
Now, let us pray together in faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. We thank You for Your love and Your power to heal. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has been bound by asthma since birth. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, every attack on their lungs and airways, and we command it to leave their body now, never to return. We speak life, health, and strength into every cell, every tissue, and every part of their respiratory system. We declare that their lungs are strong, their airways are clear, and their body is whole.
Father, we ask that You fill them with Your peace and assurance that Your healing power is at work in them. Remove any fear or doubt, and replace it with unwavering faith in Your Word. We thank You that they will never need an inhaler or asthma medication again, for You are their healer. We declare this healing complete, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, we also pray for a deeper revelation of Your love and power in their life. Help them to walk in the fullness of their healing, not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well. May they grow in intimacy with You and become a testimony of Your goodness to others. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises and speaking His Word over your life. Do not be discouraged if you do not see immediate physical changes, for healing can manifest in different ways. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Walk in the authority He has given you as a believer, and do not allow the enemy to convince you that healing is not for you. God’s Word is true, and His promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20).
If you have not already, consider seeking prayer from your local church community, as there is power in the corporate anointing. Surround yourself with believers who will stand with you in faith and encourage you in your walk with Christ. We also encourage you to give thanks to God in advance for your healing, for this is an act of faith that pleases Him (Hebrews 11:6).
