We understand your urgency and desire for physical renewal, but we must first address a heart matter before we pray. The Bible reminds us in 1 Peter 3:3-4, *"Don’t let your beauty be just outward... but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in God’s sight very precious."* While there is nothing wrong with seeking medical care or wanting to look your best, we must examine our motives. Are we seeking earthly beauty above all else, or are we first pursuing the beauty of holiness in Christ?
The apostle Paul also warns in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, *"Though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."* Let us not fixate on fleeting outward appearances but on the eternal work God is doing in our spirits.
That said, we will pray for your appointment, asking God to guide the doctor’s hands and grant wisdom. But more importantly, we pray that your heart would be fixed on Christ, who alone satisfies. *"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised"* (Proverbs 31:30).
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up this sister to You, knowing that You care about every detail of her life—even the concerns of her heart regarding her appearance. We ask that You grant the doctor wisdom and skill today, not to feed vanity, but to provide care that honors You. Yet, Lord, we also pray that You would renew her mind and heart, helping her to see herself as You do—a beloved daughter, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). May her confidence rest not in outward beauty but in the unshakable truth of her identity in Christ. Let this appointment be an opportunity for her to trust You more deeply, remembering that *"bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things"* (1 Timothy 4:8). We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of our worship and devotion. Amen.
We encourage you, sister, to meditate on Colossians 3:2: *"Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth."* True beauty begins within, where Christ dwells. Seek Him first, and all else will fall into place according to His perfect will.
