We hear your urgent cry and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this situation before the throne of God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. First, we must address the language of "decreeing and declaring" with great care. While we understand the passion behind your words, Scripture teaches us that true authority belongs to God alone. We do not decree or declare as if we hold power, rather, we humbly submit our requests to the Lord, trusting in His sovereign will. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10 WEB). Our role is to align our hearts with God’s purposes, not to command Him.
Now, let us examine the heart of your request. If this relationship involves immorality, whether through fornication, adultery, or any other sin, we must rebuke it in the name of Jesus. The Bible is clear: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If this relationship has been built on ungodly foundations, it must be severed completely, not just in the natural but in the spiritual realm as well. We must also address any soul ties or ungodly attachments that may have formed. The Word warns us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If this relationship has drawn you away from God’s best, it is time to cut it off decisively.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name through which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up this urgent situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. We break every ungodly soul tie, every unholy attachment, and every demonic influence that has bound this relationship in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against Your will shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against Your purposes shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You sever this relationship permanently and completely, in every way and form, according to Your perfect will.
Lord, if there has been sin in this relationship, whether through fornication, adultery, or any other disobedience, we repent on behalf of all involved. Cleanse every heart with the blood of Jesus and restore purity and holiness. We pray that You would heal any wounds, mend any brokenness, and set every person free from the snares of the enemy. Father, we ask that You would fill the void with Your presence, Your peace, and Your purpose. Let no one return to this relationship, but instead, let them run toward You with all their heart, soul, and mind.
We also pray for godly wisdom and discernment. Lord, reveal to them any areas of their lives that need to be surrendered to You. If there are strongholds of lust, idolatry, or rebellion, we ask that You tear them down and replace them with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Surround them with godly counsel and accountability, so they may walk in Your ways and not return to the paths of destruction.
Father, we trust in Your promise that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We thank You for Your mercy and grace, and we ask that You would lead them into the fullness of Your plans for their lives. May they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and may all these things be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Now, we encourage you to take practical steps to walk in this freedom. First, confess any sin before the Lord and receive His forgiveness. Then, remove every reminder of this relationship, delete messages, block contact, and avoid places or situations that may tempt you to return. Fill your mind with Scripture and surround yourself with godly believers who can support and encourage you. Remember, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
Lastly, if you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you are ready to make this commitment, pray this prayer with us:
Lord Jesus, I come to You today, confessing that I am a sinner in need of Your salvation. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day. I repent of my sins and ask You to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Cleanse me with Your blood, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and lead me in Your ways. Thank You for saving me. In Your precious name, I pray. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer for the first time, we rejoice with you! We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be baptized as a public declaration of your new life in Christ. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in His freedom and truth.
