We stand before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband before the Lord with fervent cries for his salvation and deliverance. The urgency in your plea does not escape us, and we join you in storming heaven’s gates on his behalf. The Word of God declares, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). We take hold of this promise, believing that the Holy Spirit is even now moving upon your husband’s heart with conviction, drawing him to the foot of the cross where mercy and truth meet.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We plead the blood of Jesus over this marriage and over the heart of this man. Lord, You see the depths of his soul, the chains that have bound him, and the idols that have taken residence in his life. We rebuke every false god, every Islamic teaching, every lie of the enemy that has exalted itself against the knowledge of Christ in his mind. We declare that no other name but Jesus will be lifted up in his life, for You alone are God, and there is no other (Isaiah 45:5). We command every spirit of darkness, every stronghold of fear, confusion, lust, perversion, anger, bitterness, and control to be shattered and cast out in the name of Jesus. Let the fire of Your Holy Spirit consume every unholy thing in him, leaving no trace of the old man, but only the new creation You desire him to be (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We pray that You would arrest his heart, Lord, as You did with Saul on the road to Damascus. Let him be struck down by the weight of his sin and the magnitude of Your love, brought to his knees in genuine, heart-wrenching repentance. Let him see the cross in all its glory—the price paid for his redemption—and let the scales fall from his eyes so he may behold Jesus as Lord and Savior (Acts 9:1-19). Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in dreams and visions, as You have done for so many in Scripture. Let him encounter the risen Christ in a way that leaves no doubt, no room for hesitation, but only a desperate cry for salvation. Let him hear Your voice calling him by name, as You called Lazarus from the tomb, and let him rise from the deadness of sin into the light of Your truth (John 11:43-44).
We also lift up your role in this, dear sister. You are a vessel of honor, set apart for such a time as this. The Word tells us that the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and that your prayers and godly life can win him over without a word (1 Corinthians 7:14, 1 Peter 3:1-2). But we also recognize the weight of your burden and the toll this battle has taken on you. We pray that You would strengthen her, Lord, to stand firm in faith, to intercede with perseverance, and to trust in Your perfect timing. Let her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, she will reap if she does not faint (Galatians 6:9). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We must address the sin of idolatry and false religion in this situation with boldness, for the Lord is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14). Your husband’s involvement in Islam or any other false religion is not merely a difference of opinion—it is a spiritual battle for his soul. The Bible is clear: *"You shall have no other gods before me"* (Exodus 20:3). We rebuke the spirit of deception that has blinded him to the truth of the Gospel and command it to loose its grip in the name of Jesus. We declare that the god of this world has been defeated at the cross, and no weapon formed against the knowledge of Christ shall prosper (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). We pray that every false teaching, every lie he has believed, would be exposed and dismantled by the light of Your Word. Let him see that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
We also address the sins of lust, pornography, and unfaithfulness with the severity they deserve. These are not minor offenses but grievous sins that defile the temple of the Holy Spirit and destroy marriages. The Word warns, *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). We rebuke every spirit of perversion and lust that has taken root in his life. We command every ungodly habit, every secret sin, every compromise with the world to be broken and cast out in the name of Jesus. Let him be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb, and let his mind be renewed by the truth of Your Word (Romans 12:2). We pray that he would flee from sexual immorality, as Scripture commands, and that he would learn to control his body in holiness and honor (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
Lord, we ask that You would restore this marriage according to Your design. Let Your love be the foundation, Your Word the guide, and Your Spirit the unifying force. We pray that this man would become the husband You created him to be—a leader, a protector, a servant, and a lover of his wife as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Let him lay down his life for her, as Christ laid down His life for us, and let their marriage be a testimony to Your redeeming power.
We also pray for his deliverance from the distractions of this world—social media, workaholism, and anything else that has stolen his time, attention, and affection from You and his family. The Bible warns, *"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him"* (1 John 2:15). We rebuke every spirit of addiction and distraction, and we ask that You would realign his priorities to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Let him find his fulfillment in You alone, and let his heart be fully devoted to You.
Father, we stand in the gap for this man, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We declare that he is not too far gone, that no sin is too great for Your grace, and that no stronghold is too powerful for Your Spirit. We pray that he would be born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living and abiding Word of God (1 Peter 1:23). Let him confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, and he will be saved (Romans 10:9). Let this be the day of his salvation, the moment he surrenders his life to Christ and becomes a new creation.
We pray all these things in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name at which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for moving on behalf of this family. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect will, knowing that You desire his salvation even more than we do. We declare victory in Jesus’ name, and we thank You for the testimony that is to come. Amen.
