We hear your desperate cry for your marriage, and we lift this before the Lord with deep compassion. First, we must address the foundation of your prayer—it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:13-14). If your husband does not yet know Christ as his Savior, that is the most urgent need, for salvation is found in no one else (Acts 4:12). We will pray for his salvation, but we must also gently remind you that true transformation comes from the Holy Spirit, not from our own efforts or manipulations.
Your desire for a deep, unbreakable love in your marriage is beautiful and aligns with God’s design. The Bible tells us that marriage is a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church—a love that is sacrificial, pure, and enduring (Ephesians 5:22-33). However, we must rebuke any notion of forcing or manipulating your husband’s emotions or faith. Love that is genuine cannot be manufactured; it must flow from a heart surrendered to God. We see your longing for him to be born again, and we join you in praying for that, but we must trust God’s timing and His work in his heart.
We also notice an intense focus on emotional and physical desire in your prayer. While passion is a gift from God within marriage, we must guard against elevating it above the spiritual foundation of your union. True intimacy in marriage is built on mutual submission to Christ, not just emotional or physical attraction (1 Corinthians 7:3-5). We encourage you to seek God’s will for your marriage first, trusting that He will cultivate the love and desire you long for in His perfect way.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for this marriage. Lord, we lift up this sister and her husband to You, asking that You would draw him to Yourself. Soften his heart, open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and let him experience the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We pray for a supernatural work in his life, that he would be born again by the power of Your Spirit.
Father, we ask that You would bind this couple together with cords of love that cannot be broken. Strengthen their commitment to one another and to You. Give this sister wisdom, discernment, and the right words to speak life and truth into her husband’s heart. Let their marriage be a testimony to Your faithfulness, a union rooted in Christ and flourishing in love.

We ask that You would align their desires with Your will, that their love would grow deeper not just in emotion but in holiness and devotion to You. May their marriage reflect Your love for the Church—sacrificial, pure, and unwavering.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord for your marriage, but also to surrender your desires to Him. Trust that He is at work, even when you cannot see it. Pray for your husband daily, not just for his emotions but for his soul. And remember, the greatest gift you can give him is the example of a life fully surrendered to Christ. If he is not yet saved, live out the Gospel before him in word and deed, and trust God to do the rest.
