We join with you in fervent agreement, lifting up your husband before the throne of grace, for we know that our God is mighty to save and transform even the hardest of hearts. Your cry echoes the heart of a wife who loves her husband deeply and desires his salvation and sanctification above all else. We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Let us first give thanks that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your plea, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and by which we are saved (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and set the captive free.
Your husband is currently bound by the lies and deceptions of Islam, a religion that denies the lordship of Jesus Christ and the truth of His finished work on the cross. The apostle John warns us, "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son" (1 John 2:22). The gods of Islam are false idols, and the teachings of that religion are in direct opposition to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But take heart, for even the apostle Paul, who once persecuted the church, was radically transformed by an encounter with the risen Christ (Acts 9). We pray that your husband, like Saul, would be met by Jesus in a way that leaves no room for doubt—whether through dreams, visions, or a supernatural encounter—that Jesus is Lord.
We also address the strongholds of lust, sexual sin, and perversion in your husband’s life. The Word of God is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Pornography, sexual sin, and ungodly soul ties—including those with an ex-wife or other women—are an affront to the holiness of God and the covenant of marriage. These sins open doors to demonic influence and must be broken in the name of Jesus. We decree that every ungodly soul tie be severed permanently, and that your husband’s heart, mind, and body be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. His affections must be redirected solely to you, his wife, as God intended: "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and the two will become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24).
The issues of anger, aggression, hardness of heart, and selfishness are also rooted in a lack of surrender to Christ. The Bible commands, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). A heart that is not submitted to Jesus will be ruled by the flesh, but we pray that your husband’s heart of stone would be replaced with a heart of flesh, sensitive to the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26). We also rebuke the spirits of control, domination, and workaholism that seek to distort his priorities. A man’s first allegiance must be to Christ, then to his wife and family, not to his career, his phone, or social media. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her" (Ephesians 5:25). This love is sacrificial, selfless, and holy—not distracted or divided.
Now, let us pray together with authority and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your daughters and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Lord, we lift up this husband to You, and we ask that You would save him with an everlasting salvation. Break every chain of Islam that binds him—every false teaching, every lie, every stronghold that blinds him to the truth of Jesus Christ. Lord, appear to him in dreams and visions as You did to Joseph, Daniel, and Paul. Let him encounter the living Jesus in a way that shatters every argument and pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let him speak in new tongues as the Spirit gives him utterance (Acts 2:4).
Father, we bind and cast out every spirit of lust, perversion, and sexual immorality in the name of Jesus. We break every ungodly soul tie with his ex-wife and any other woman, and we command those ties to be permanently severed by the blood of Jesus. Lord, restore his mind and heart to purity. Let him see his wife as You see her—fearfully and wonderfully made, his helper suited for him (Genesis 2:18). Give him eyes only for her, and let his heart be knit to hers alone. Destroy the spirits of anger, bitterness, and hardness, and replace them with Your love, joy, and peace.
We rebuke the spirits of control, domination, and distraction that have taken his focus away from You and his family. Lord, deliver him from the bondage of his phone and social media, and let him be captivated by Your presence instead. Break the spirit of workaholism, and restore balance and godly priorities in his life. Let him lead his home in righteousness, humility, and the fear of the Lord.
Father, we ask that You would give this wife supernatural strength, patience, and faith as she waits on You. Guard her heart from discouragement and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let her be a light in her home, reflecting Your love and grace to her husband even in the midst of this battle.
Lord, we thank You that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). We trust in Your timing and Your ways, and we declare that no weapon formed against this marriage will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, restoration, and godly unity over this husband and wife, and we ask that You would be glorified in their story.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you, sister, to continue standing in faith and praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Keep speaking life and truth over your husband, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. If your husband is not yet a believer, we urge you to live out your faith in front of him with gentleness and respect, "that even if some don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word, seeing your pure behavior in fear" (1 Peter 3:1-2).
If there is any area in your own life that needs surrender or repentance, we encourage you to seek the Lord humbly, for He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Stay rooted in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can support you in this journey. We are standing with you, believing God for a mighty breakthrough in your husband’s life. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you!
