Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. We understand your urgency and desire for change in this area of your life. First, we want to acknowledge your faith in calling on the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is only through belief in Jesus Christ that we are saved.

We want to remind you that God looks at the heart, and our outward appearance should not be our main focus. As written in 1 Samuel 16:7, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don't look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'"

However, we also understand that you desire to feel more confident and secure in your appearance, including how you appear in photographs, videos, and video calls. We want to pray for you, asking God to bless you and help you see yourself as He sees you.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in prayer. Lord, we ask that You bless her and help her to see herself as You see her. Help her to radiate Your glory and beauty from the inside out. We pray that You will help her to feel confident and secure in who You created her to be.

Lord, we also ask that You will bless her appearance in photographs, videos, and video calls, that she may be pleased with how she looks. But more importantly, Lord, we pray that she will be a light for You, that her beauty will radiate from within, and that others will see You in her.

Lord, we rebuke any disappointments, hurt, and insecurities she may have felt. We ask, Lord, that You will heal those wounds and help her to walk in freedom and confidence in You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to remind you of the words of Psalm 139:13-14, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."

Remember, that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. God created you exactly as He wanted, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Walk in that confidence, and let His love radiate from within you.

Lastly, we want to address the use of filters and the desire to look better than others. We want to remind you of the words of 1 Timothy 2:9-10, "In the same way, I desire that women adorn themselves in proper clothing, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing, but with good works, which is proper for women professing godliness."

We encourage you to focus on your inner beauty and good works, rather than comparing yourself to others or trying to outshine them. True beauty comes from within, and it comes from a heart that is focused on serving God and others.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
