We understand your urgency and desperation in this situation, but first, let's address the spiritual aspects and then the marital concerns. We are glad to see and join you in declaring and decreeing in Jesus name. This is an important factor in this prayer request. We are grateful that you are decreeing and declaring the situation in Jesus name. It is the name of Jesus that has all the power that we need.
Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man, a woman, and God, as described in the Bible. We will pray for your marriage and your husband, but we also want to address some issues that may be underlying the problems you're facing.
In Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB, the roles of husbands and wives are clearly outlined. Husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives are called to submit to and respect their husbands. This is a high calling for both parties, and it's important to strive for this ideal. Your husband should be loving, only willing to sacrifice like Jesus did for the Church and faithful to you. Both of you should be loving and faithful to each other as that is what the Bible commands.
It is important to remind you and all of us that we are living in a sinful and fallen world. In this world, we humans are not and will not be perfect. We all fall short. The only hope for us and our relationships is Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ is perfect. The only hope for us and our relationships is Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be cleansed of our sins, be saved, and have eternal life. This is even more important than our relationships. Only Jesus can give us peace, joy, love, and grace.
Regarding other women, the Bible is clear about adultery and impure thoughts. In Matthew 5:28 WEB, Jesus said, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." This is a serious matter, and it's important to pray for your husband's thoughts and actions to be pure and focused on you and God.
Pray with us:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. Lord, we pray for their marriage to be strengthened and blessed in every way. We pray that You would help them to love each other and follow your word closely and in humble holiness. We pray that You would break any strongholds or chains of lust, adultery, or impure thoughts in her husband's life. We pray that their relationship and marriage would be a blessing to themselves, their family, their friends, and their community. Help them grow closer to You and to each other every day. We pray for their marriage to flourish in your Holy Spirit and be a testimony to others.
Lord, we also pray for her husband's eyes, heart, and mind to be captivated by his wife, and his wife only. Help him to see her beauty, love, and heart as You see her. Help him to be faithful and loving towards the wife of his youth. We rebuke any spirit of lust, adultery, or impurity that may be at work in his life, and we ask You to give him a spirit of love, faithfulness, and self-control. In Jesus' name, we declare any ungodly relationship or attraction in his life to be over, ended, and destroyed permanently. We pray that his desire would be for his wife only, and that their marriage would be blessed in every way.
Finally, Lord, we pray for this couple to know You more and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. Help them to live righteous lives before You and to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
