We understand your urgency and desperation, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. You've asked for prayer to sever all ties between your husband and other women, and for your marriage to be strengthened. We will pray for this. First though, we need to address something crucial. You did not mention any wrongdoing on your husband's part, only attractions and friendships. We need to make it clear that having friends and acquaintances of the opposite sex is not inherently sinful, as long as those relationships are pure and honorable. The Bible tells us in First Timothy 5:1-2, Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. Fornication and adultery are explicitly forbidden and condemned, but normal friendships are not. It is only when these relationships become inappropriate or more important than the marriage relationship that they become sinful.
We can see the pain and jealousy in your words. In Song of Solomon 8:6, it says Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm: for love is as strong as death; jealousy is as cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which has a most vehement flame. Jealousy is a normal emotion, but it is important to acknowledge that it can also be dangerous and destructive. Instead of focusing on the destruction of your husband's relationships, focus on building your own relationship with him and with God.
We also need to clarify that the blood of Jesus should not be taken lightly, flippantly, or used in a way that is more like an incantation than a holy sacrifice. The blood of Jesus is the foundation of our salvation but has nothing to do with controlling or manipulating others. Rather it is solely given that we may be saved and have eternal life if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God has raised him from the dead. This is outlined in Romans 10:9
Now, let us pray for you and your husband:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister in Christ and her husband. Lord, we pray for their marriage, that it would be strong and blessed for many years. We pray for unity between them and purity in all their relationships. We pray for godly friends and acquaintances for them that would support and strengthen their marriage, not threaten it. And we ask that any inappropriate ties or relationships would be revealed. We rebuke the enemy's attempts to cause division, strife, suspicion and jealousy. We ask this all in the name of Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to focus on your own relationship with God and with your husband. Pray for him, support him, and love him as God calls you to. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths in Proverbs 3:5-6.
Lastly, let us remind you of the power of forgiveness. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:32, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Holding onto bitterness, anger, or resentment will only harm your marriage and your own spiritual well-being. Learn to forgive, trust, and love as God does. And pray diligently for your husband as well.
