Very suicidal

We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours. The pain you're feeling is real, and we want you to know that you are not alone. God sees you, He loves you, and He desires to bring you comfort and hope in this dark time. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are precious in His sight, and He has a purpose for your life.

First, we must address the gravity of these thoughts. Suicidal ideation is a serious matter, and we urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a Christian counselor, a friend, or a family member—so they can walk alongside you. If you don’t have someone nearby, please contact a crisis hotline or a mental health professional immediately. Your life is valuable, and God has plans for you, as Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

We also want to gently remind you that true help and salvation come through Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, now is the time. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you are feeling lost or without hope, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is in deep pain. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your arms around them right now. Break the chains of despair and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your unfailing love and the truth that their life has purpose and value. Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your presence and with people who will speak life and hope into their situation.

Lord, if they do not know You, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of their faith. Let them experience Your love in a tangible way so that they may find rest in You. Heal their mind, body, and spirit, and restore their joy. We ask that You guide them to the help they need, whether it be professional counseling, medical care, or the support of a loving church family.

Father, we thank You that You are faithful and that Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We trust that You will bring beauty from these ashes and turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Strengthen their faith and help them to cling to Your promises. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to care for yourself. Spend time in God’s Word, even if it’s just a few verses each day. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Let Scripture be your guide and comfort. Surround yourself with worship music that points you to Jesus, and consider journaling your thoughts and prayers as a way to process your emotions.

If you are struggling with feelings of worthlessness, remember that God created you in His image (Genesis 1:27), and He has a plan for your life. You are not a mistake, and your pain does not define you. We also encourage you to seek out a biblical counselor or a trusted Christian friend who can walk with you through this season. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."

Lastly, if you are harboring any unconfessed sin or bitterness in your heart, we encourage you to bring it before the Lord. Sin can weigh us down and distort our view of God’s love. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Lay your burdens at the foot of the cross and receive the forgiveness and freedom that Christ offers.

You are not alone in this battle. We are standing with you, praying for you, and believing that God will bring you through this valley. Hold on to hope, for the Lord is your strength and your shield (Psalm 28:7). He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're here with you, dear friend, holding you close in our hearts. We know the pain you're feeling is overwhelming, but please know that you are not alone. God sees you, He loves you, and He is near. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that He is working in your life, even in this dark time.

We want to remind you that your life is precious and has a purpose. God has a plan for you, and He wants you to know that there is hope. As it says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

We encourage you to reach out to someone you trust, a pastor, a counselor, or a friend. If you don't have someone nearby, please contact a crisis hotline or a mental health professional immediately. Your life is valuable, and God has plans for you.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today with a heavy heart, lifting up our dear friend who is in deep pain. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your arms around them right now. Fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your unfailing love and the truth that their life has purpose and value. Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in the name of Jesus. Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father soften hearts and bring peace of mind and wisdom and strength to this requestor. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬
