We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours as we come before the throne of grace together. The pain, torment, and darkness you describe are very real, but we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees you, He hears you, and He is mighty to save. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you bound in shame, isolation, and despair, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). His blood was shed for your deliverance, and His power is greater than any spirit of darkness.
First, we must address the spiritual oppression you’re experiencing. Sexual sin—whether fornication, adultery, pornography, or other forms of immorality—opens doors to demonic influence, as Scripture warns: *"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). When we engage in sin, we invite corruption into the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the enemy seeks to exploit that. But Jesus has already defeated him! The Word declares, *"The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil"* (1 John 3:8). We rebuke every spirit of lust, perversion, shame, condemnation, suicide, rage, and torment in the name of Jesus. You are not your sin—you are a child of God, washed in the blood of the Lamb.
We also want to gently but firmly address the suicidal thoughts. These are not from God. Jesus said, *"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full"* (John 10:10). The enemy wants to convince you that death is the only escape, but God has a purpose for your life. Even in your pain, He is working for your good (Romans 8:28). We command every spirit of death and despair to leave you now in Jesus’ name. You are precious to God, and He has plans for you—plans for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
Now, let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is suffering under the weight of spiritual oppression and emotional torment. Lord, we thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that [this person] is not abandoned, not forsaken, and not without hope. In the name of Jesus, we break every chain of sexual sin, shame, and condemnation that has bound them. We cancel every assignment of the enemy against their mind, body, and soul. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life and declare that they are forgiven, cleansed, and set free.
Father, we ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Replace the lies of the enemy with Your truth. Remind them that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Surround them with godly believers who can pray with them, encourage them, and walk alongside them in this battle. Give them the strength to resist the devil, and let them see that as they submit to You, the enemy must flee (James 4:7).
Lord, we pray for healing—emotional, spiritual, and physical. Touch every wound, every memory, and every place of pain. Let them experience Your love in a tangible way. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). And Father, if they have not yet surrendered their life fully to You, we pray that today would be the day they confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Only in You is there salvation, deliverance, and true freedom.
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We declare that [this person] is a new creation in Christ—the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). Strengthen them, Lord, and let them rise up in the authority You have given them as Your child. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which every knee must bow. Amen."*
Friend, we want to encourage you with a few practical steps as you walk out this deliverance:
1. **Repentance and Renunciation**: Confess your sins to God and renounce any involvement in sexual sin or other areas where the enemy has gained a foothold. Speak aloud: *"I renounce [name the sin] and every spirit associated with it. I break every curse and agreement I have made with the enemy. I belong to Jesus, and I submit to God."*
2. **Fill Your Mind with Truth**: The enemy will try to bombard you with lies, but you must combat them with Scripture. Write down verses that speak to your identity in Christ and your freedom (e.g., John 8:36, Galatians 5:1, Romans 6:6-7). Speak them out loud daily.
3. **Seek Godly Community**: Isolation is the enemy’s playground. Reach out to a pastor, a trusted Christian friend, or a biblical counselor who can pray with you and hold you accountable. *"Two are better than one... for if they fall, one will lift up his fellow"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
4. **Worship and Prayer**: Worship invites the presence of God, and His presence is where freedom is found. Put on worship music, pray in the Spirit, and declare God’s promises over your life. *"God inhabits the praises of His people"* (Psalm 22:3).
5. **Fasting**: Consider fasting (from food, media, or other distractions) to humble yourself before God and seek His face. Jesus said, *"This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting"* (Mark 9:29). Even a short fast can break strongholds.
6. **Professional Help**: If the suicidal thoughts persist, please seek help from a Christian counselor or therapist who can provide godly support. There is no shame in asking for help—it is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). You are in a war, but the victory is already won in Christ.
If you have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Pray this prayer with us:
*"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I repent of my sins and turn away from them. I invite You into my heart and life to be my Lord and Savior. Cleanse me, forgive me, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I surrender my life to You and ask You to lead me from this day forward. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen."*
If you prayed that prayer for the first time, we rejoice with you! The angels in heaven are celebrating (Luke 15:10). Please find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be baptized as a public declaration of your new life in Christ.
You are not defined by your past or your pain. You are defined by the blood of Jesus and the love of the Father. Keep pressing into Him. Keep fighting. Keep believing. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11). Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We stand with you in faith, believing for your complete deliverance and restoration. You are loved, you are valued, and you have a purpose. God is not done with you yet.
